judecorp: (think of me)

I was tagged a million years ago by Kris. Whoopsie!

The Rules: The first player of this game starts with the topic “five weird habits” and people who get tagged need to write an entry about their five weird habits as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose the next five people to be tagged and link to their web journals. Don’t forget to leave a comment in their blog or journal that says “You have been tagged” (assuming they take comments) and tell them to read yours.

1. My clothes closet is an OCDer's dream. All of my shirts are hung facing the same way. And they are arranged by type and material of shirts: cotton sleeveless, non-cotton sleeveless, cotton short-sleeve, etc. I don't think I'm particularly OCD (I don't really have any obsessions that drive this sort of thing, I'm just ridiculously tidy), and I don't know that I was ever taught to arrange my things this way, but I have for as long as I can remember.

2. I pick at my hangnails like nobody's business. Especially when I'm nervous about something. You can tell things are hectic around here by the number of fingers that have hangnails on them. I just can't stop picking at them... the skin is all hard when they're healing and it's just SO tempting!

3. I don't make a lot of eye contact. In high school, my friend Jessica would always make fun of me because I would look sideways at her when I would talk to her. Jen gets upset with me when we're in heavy discussions because I'm always looking somewhere else even though I'm aggressively paying attention. Usually, in casual situations, I cover this up by focusing intently on the space /between/ someone's eyes.

(Okay, the more I do this stupid meme, the more I become a walking advertisement for Asperger's or something. THANKS, KRIS! *wink*)

4. When I put my seatbelt on in the car, I pull on it to make sure that it's not twisted anywhere and is nice and tight, flat, in the right place. When Jen puts on her seatbelt, it's often twisted somewhere and there is a lot of slack around her waist. And that drives me totally batty! I always want to lean over and tighten her seatbelt. (And sometimes I do!)

5. When I'm bored, I'll push the bottom ball on my tongue barbell onto my lip so I can click it against the top ball on my vertical labret. And roll the tongue ball around the lip ball. Click. Click. Click. I also pull on my vertical labret a /lot/ more than I play with my tongue. (That's probably why I'm always thinking of taking the tongue piercing out... it's been what? almost 10 years now? Time to go.)

Okay, let's see... who do I want to tag with this? Who do I think might have funny habits? How about [livejournal.com profile] thatpatti, [livejournal.com profile] whirledpeas, [livejournal.com profile] rebasayre, [livejournal.com profile] stacy, and [livejournal.com profile] bluekniggit. HIT ME!

Oh, dear. Closet closet weird rules, check. I do that too. Hangnails, check. I do that too. Eye contact, check, I HATE it and can't manage it without some amount of pain.

Wah.

Haha, I'm totally guilty of 3 and 4, and my closet is also ridiculously organized. I don't do mine by material, though, just function.

Do you have a lot of different materials in your closet, though? I mean, you have a million cotton button-down shirts!

I wonder if it's a genetic thing. I don't remember Dad having an anal closet, though.

Well, I have a lot of cotton button down long and short sleeve, cotton french cuff, long and short not-button down, different collar styles in dress shirts, knit shirts, etc...

Dad hated clothes, so what I remember is that he had closets full of clothes that were a thousand years old that he never wore.

What would really be OCD would be to hang from cotton to non-cotton with the blends in between, in descending order of the amount of cotton in.

You're very welcome. Glad to be of service. Your habits are more amusing than mine, I think.
