It's amazing what a good night's sleep will do. I went to bed at around 10:30 last night and probably fell asleep around 11. I woke up around 7am in exactly the same position I fell asleep in. (I don't usually move around a lot in my sleep, but I do move a little.) I was such a log! But it made a huge difference.
I made it through an incredibly busy day with no tiredness or anything, and I didn't start coughing at all until my last visit when I was doing a lot of talking and singing. Then my throat got itchy and it just wouldn't stop being itchy.
After work I went to dinner with a couple of coworkers at The Blarney Stone, a cute little trendy place down the road from me in Fields Corner. Since when did Dot get so fancypants? The food was yumtacular and not overly expensive, and they had some big tvs and a bar area, too. Coworker Kelly said they have DJs/bands on the weekends. I'll have to check it out sometime, it was nice in there and it's SO CLOSE. (Walkable in warmer weather for sure.)
I'm supposed to be writing an article for Strangeland but I'm kind of zonked and brain dead. I think I will get ready for bed and write a letter to Emmy or something... call it another early night and see if I can keep it going.
Short day tomorrow - playgroup, two home visits, then a haircut from the Dark Overlord at 4:30. Then SURVIVOR!
(Yes, my life is just this boring.)

Date: 2006-02-09 01:35 pm (UTC)All of us in the program have our mail sent to the academic centre, which posts a list of the people who have mail. Every day each of us looks at that list. And one day, I will see my own name and life will be sweet!

I believe we called them garments: "singlets".
With the two minutes allowed to me for my "stocking time" I glanced your very excellent link for dance gothic. Some fine pointers there!
Do you think we are at a point in our relationship to be lj "friends" ...?
One of the benefits would be knowing when The Dark Overlord may be going in for some recon at one of the proverbial cha-cha palaces for his study of the Wicked Widdershins Danse Macabre ...

Date: 2006-02-16 02:16 am (UTC)I thought this was the worst Valentine's Day ever, but I have to reconsider. If The Dark Overlord wants to be my very intimate LJ Friend, it can't be ALL bad.
