The Big Thank You List
Oct. 18th, 2001 04:08 pmLots of thank yous are overdue. So here they are:
Pajama Jones - Thank you BIG for "The Goonies," which I love.
Jodie-O - Those magnets ROCK! (She got me an "H.R. Pufnstuf" magnet and a magnet of "Christ Died For Our Dunkin Donuts" - which is now holding up the postcard of "Christ Died For Our Dunkin Donuts" that Stephanie gave me YEARS ago.) Jode, that card was so effing funny (with no wires or leaks or ticks), and thank Pedro for his note about me being "a sexy." He is too much.
Stephanie - Thank you too, cutie, for the Rubba Duck ("Duckhorn"). Very cute! And the little kitty card was very you and very adorable. But what's with the N*Sync wrapping paper? :)
Cute Samurai - Thank you LOTS! The Edward Scissorhands toy is totally going on my bedroom wall, or maybe near the LDDs. And "But I'm a Cheerleader," of course, is very well received. Ignore my message on your work voicemail - I need to nap. And the card totall rocked, not only because it had Pepe Le Pew dressed up like a knight in shining armor, but because it was "To My Son." Ha ha ha!
Sometimes I hate the way the mail is soooo slooooow. But at times like this, when it's making my birthday stretch out for days and days, it's good. Very good!
Thanks also to Daddy and Mommy and Grandma & Grandpa for financial assistance. And to my wonderful cats who got me "Memento" (courtesy of A.). And I got adorable e-cards from Kieron and 'Fly and my former stepsister. And thanks to Ohio State for sending my tuition reimbursement at a critical time. Okay, time for sleepies!

Unrelated note - Last night I made a pretty significant (cost-wise) impulse purchase, deciding I would pull money out of the tuition check to do so. Because I felt like a grade-a hypocrite for spending a lot of money after having gotten upset with A. about the monitor, I took money from the tuition check and paid for the thing. I'm feeling like a big grownup, and a good person, about it, so I thought I'd share.
