We spent a good 4 hours there in the beautiful sunshine, getting a little color and enjoying the weather. It's always fun to see the local zoo exhibits - the whole Louisiana Swamp section was particularly interesting to me since I don't know anything about Louisiana!

After the zoo, we headed to Marigny to catch dinner at this great Thai place full of queers (yay!). Mike wanted to have a goodbye drink on the way out, so we stopped at the Crescent City Brew House where they had some beer/wine and I treated myself to a Coke full of cherry syrup (mmmm, sugar and caffiene - my first caffiene in months - BOING). We split a piece of cheesecake and called it an early night.

I got some sun today! That should be fun to bring back to work.

Don't know if you'll get this before you get back, but if so, make sure to eat/buy pralines!

Jen had a praline sundae the first day we were in town. I tried it, but I'm not a big nut person.

I'm not a big nut person either, but pralines are just heavenly. Just try one, please. Go to Southern Candymakers... soo good.

New Orleans is not a chocolate city yet, but it is white powdered sugar city. I think all the tee shirts about the Chocolate city, is what made me think of Charlie and the Chocolate factory!

..."Cheer up Charlie, don't you cry, ...."
...."I've got a golden ticket..."

I totally agree. Whenever I saw those "Willy Nagin" tshirts, I couldn't help but bust out the "Golden Ticket" action.

Maybe it is a chocolate city sprinkled with delicious white powdered sugar? Come to think of it, that sounds DELICIOUS!!

p.s. Thanks so much for coming out to see us on Sunday. We had a fantastic time with you and C. Yay!
