Boring day

Today was a kind of waste of a day, work-wise. This morning I had my every-other-Monday training class on infant mental health, which totally lowers my productivity right off the bat. Then I got a voicemail from a Dad cancelling my 3pm home visit due to illness (which is cool, they never cancel). Then I met Coworker Veronica at my 1pm and we got totally no-showed, which is so irritating. I thought I was done for the day because Coworker Nancy never got back to me about our 4:30pm assessment, but she called me around 2:30 and said it was on. So I wasted some time in a "meeting" with my director supposedly about my 18-year-old intern type but ended up being a bitch session about another coworker. Oy.

I got home at 6:30 from the assessment and made a real dinner. Like, real cooking! Baked chicken breasts, rice pilaf, and yellow squash. Mmm. But by the time it was done cooking, it was probably 8:30. A little Wife Swap later, and then the Boy in the Bubble thing, and I think I'm ready for bed. I got crap sleep last night.

The cutest thing that happened today was when My Jennifer called me and told me that she didn't want me to haul the garbage out. Yesterday she forbid me from cleaning the bathroom with spray cleaner. Isn't she just the most adorable thing ever?

I definitely don't miss litter box duty. But I've promised W that he gets time off for good behavior once the baby arrives. Although I'm planning on cheating and buying one of the fancy self scooping litterboxes.

Yeah, I kind of feel bad about that, because Jen /hates/ to do the cat boxes, and it doesn't bother me all that much.
