I think you need an obligatory being-sorrowful-in-a-graveyard userpic. Yours needs to be in black and white. Or taken at night if you really want to keep up with the joneses.
Back then, Josh and I used to sit around 'The Beehive' and read really bad poetry and drink coffee and smoke our clove cigarettes and talk about vampires and argue over the meaning of the lyrics in Smashing Pumpkins songs.
Our favorite thing to do was to drive in to town and park far away from the coffee shop, and walk in the cold for blocks. Trying to look tough and angsty. And that gave us reasons enough to wear our long black coats and what not.
But, the silly thing was that my cheeks would get all red and rosey. And that is SO ungoth. I'm sure he thought that I was so pathetic with my little girl rosey cheeks smoking my cloves, trying SO hard to be goth. And failing SO miserably.
The same thing happens when I try and go punk. I never look tough. I never look mean. I just look like some little girl TRYING to me tough. Playing dress up.
Maybe THAT is why Stephanie is more geek, punk AND goth than me. =) =)
I'm so not goth. I wear colors, for crying out loud! So what if I have Living Dead Dolls, an Edward Scissorhands toy, watch The Crow regularly, and sigh a lot. Oh wait, I don't.

I totally took this to shoe to a very goth boi (hee hee) of mine.
His comment was that I looked like I was wearing sunglasses. Silly 'Stina.

Date: 2001-10-23 04:05 pm (UTC)SO far your haikus have saved my honor (on more than one occasion) and asked me on a date.
Trust me. That makes for some mighty fine poetry.
