It was far too cold and raw today. It wasn't as bad in the morning so I had the misfortune of wearing flip-flops to work. It's hard to do home visits in the driving rain, and doubly so wearing flip-flops. NTS: No flip-flops when it's cold and rainy, mmkay?

Our IUI this morning was done by a different person than last time, and this woman had no bedside manner and was considerably rougher than the last one. So I had cramps on and off today, and some spotting, which didn't happen last time. Sucks, but it's done and hopefully did the trick. We once again got lower numbers than we'd have liked from our donor sperm (6million post-wash with 60% motility) which means I'll be calling the sperm bank tomorrow to talk to them about what can be done. I don't think we want to try this dude a third time with those numbers, even though my doctor's office says 5million is "adequate". Argh, like I need something else to freak about.

I also think I am coming down with something. (Yeah, and walking in the rain in flip-flops didn't help.) I had to clear my throat a lot this morning and now good old Lefty Tonsil is acting up (a little swollen, sore on the inside and the outside). I haven't gotten much sleep the last couple of days, so I'm hoping a good night's sleep tonight will do the trick. Maybe I'll have some orange juice before bed for a Vitamin C jolt. I really don't want to be sick right now.

In random news, I decided on a whim last night to apply for a job that came to me on Monster. It's a Clinical Coordinator position at the GLBT group home here in the area. I know I said I wouldn't switch jobs during this process because I don't want to risk losing my insurance authorization, but there's no hurt in checking it out, right? Well, they e-mailed me tonight and asked when I could come in to talk. That's kind of crazy!

Have a good night, guys. I'm bed bound right after House.

Agreed 100% about the weather. Here's hoping there won't need to be a third time :)

I hope so, too! Although it looks like I may be ovulating late this cycle. :(

Dude, I know some people who worked there and hated it. I interviewed there too and the chick was an ass...e-mail me if you want details.

Whoa - House is on on Wednesdays in the states?

Watching it is my Thursday night ritual, followed by Grey's Anatomy. Crazy.

No, House is on Tuesday nights in the states. :) You've got a little time mix-up going on.

And I'm pretty sure Grey's Anatomy is on a different night, too. But I'm not sure because I don't watch that show.

I'm really pulling for you with this IUI. I would consider switching donors if this doesn't work, because our DR said she only does IUI with 10 mil or higher post wash. Just a thought... I don't want to get you down about this cycle, just wanted to give you some info you could use in the future if needed.
Get some rest!

No, I know, other people on the internet are telling me the same thing. And it makes me sad that we could have been wasting our time these last two months at significant cost. I'm going to call the bank today and see what they say as well.

This is so frustrating. But thank you for your support!

You're welcome for the info and support. I wish this didn't have to be so painful (reaches out and give you a big hug)!

I think that would be a great celebration! Hubby and I have talked about wanting to go to Boston so... we just might make that a reality!

We can't wait! :)

I'm thinking good thoughts that 6mil was enough!

6 mil could very well be enough! There are plenty of PG women out there whose donors may have had less.
I'm waiting until we both are PG and far along...
Boston here we come!

That would be great! And yeah, I know 6 million is enough, but I want MORE MORE MORE! :)

omigosh, i interviewed for a job there when i got out of college. it was like, a residential counselor thing though. it seemed like a cool thang, but i didn't want to work with a bunch of gay boys at the time. but the job you applied for sounds way cooler than the one i did! good luck.

I'm not really in a great place to leave my job right now (they definitely own me until mid-June) but I figure it's worth checking out. This job has been posted several times so I'm wondering if they're not finding anyone or if there's a lot of turnover.

But I hope it's cool.

I know with the trying to have a baby business you can't try the Airborne, but you might want to try drinking those Dannactive things. They are pretty much like yogurt if pregnant or trying to be pregnant ladies can eat that. As you can see, my pregnancy knowledge is a bit lacking. Anyways the Dannactives don't taste bad and supposedly they are really good for your immune system. I think they help, but I suppose it could be a plocebo effect. I really like the idea of them. Maybe they would help save you from getting sick so much.

I just had to look up that DanActive stuff because I'd never heard of it. I don't know anything about the "active cultures" that are in it that are different than regular yogurt, so I probably wouldn't risk it even though it's probably fine. But thanks for the tip!

I'm a pretty healthy person, I just /really/ need to get my tonsils out someday. Maybe once all of this baby business is done. I took a little Tylenol today and it was all good. I just need more sleep and better weather. :)

Thanks!

hello
