I have one of those post nasal drip scratchy throats going on. It started some time last night and I keep hoping it's a fluke, that it will go away with no other symptoms. It's easy to pretend you're not sick when the weather is so gorgeous! We have a wedding to go to on Saturday and I really don't want to be sick at a wedding. And I can't imagine having to blow my nose or cough a million times during a wedding, either. Yuck!

I was home from work at about 3:45pm today. God, I love it when that happens. I just picked up a whole bunch of new cases, though, so it's not likely to happen again any time soon. But I need to budget my time well so I can relax a little and enjoy my summer.

Jen's making us yummy dinner before we go check out that apartment. Whee!

that's what my ridiculous, now-four-day illness started as - just a little scratch at the back of my throat. within 12 hours it was full blown, fever chills gross flu madness. i highly recommend strong precautionary measures, like vitamin c, orange juice, and target="_blank">oscillococcinum (http://www.oscillo.com/).

Well, *knock on wood* nothing has gotten any worse, and in fact, my scratchy throat is pretty much gone now. I think I might be getting a little stuffy in the nose but hopefully that will hold out and not impact my wedding-ing tomorrow. I hate being sick.

As for the oscillococcinum, I've never heard of that. Thanks for the link! Not sure if it's safe for pg chicks, though.

oh good. i've known three or four people now who had the minor symptom blow up into the evil. not sure about oscillo safety in that respect, but there's probably something on the website somewhere about it... i think it's made out of duck liver. i have no idea why it works, but it does for me, so i don't question it.

Woah, duck liver? That sounds so nasty, but hey, whatever works, right?

The website said something like "talk to your doctor about whether you should take it while pregnant," which to me says, "err, don't do it."

I had one of those scratchy throats crop up a couple of weeks ago and develop into a full blown nasty cold that has had me miserable most of the time since. :(
