Summer is in full swing which means that I can't seem to book a full day of work. Of course I can't complain too badly when it means I'm home at 3:45 instead of 5:15 on Jen's day off. By the time I would have been home, we had spent some QT together. Which is nice.

Marti Maraschino seems hell-bent on turning everything we do into a club. We have Movie Club and Book Club, and now she's calling our Wednesday night walks "Walking Club." And all of a sudden Coworker Anne is coming too! Wacky! I dig Coworker Anne but she looks like a total fashion model and I... don't. :)

I did my first Follistim injection tonight and it was as easy as I thought it would be, so I'm really glad I didn't spend time scheduling a "lesson" with a nurse at my doctor's office. I watched an online instructional video the other day and was pretty sure it was self-explanatory, and when the stuff actually arrived this evening there was another big instruction sheet. So simple. Now I do this for another four days and then buzz up to Waltham on Sunday morning to see how things are cooking. I hope this is the month! New meds, new donor, clear HSG, and a little break - I hope that's a winning combination.

I have a dentist appointment first thing tomorrow morning to replace those two old fillings that Dentist Doom said were no good. I've never had a dentist appointment at 9am before. Yuck for getting fillings and then having to run to a home visit! This appointment had better only last an hour like they said. Last time I waited 45 minutes before even going in, and this time I'm the first appointment so it better be in and out. Grrr, I hate waiting.

I have no point. Why do I often have no point? And how did I get sucked into Big Brother 7: All Stars? I've never watched BB in my life! (No, I don't watch every time but when I see that it's on I get kind of excited.)

I am becoming the Lowest Common Denominator.

Of course. Most of my coworkers get (*GASP*) pedicures. Although I don't know if Anne does. She's pretty earthy and sensible.

Also, I totally understand. You were busy on your RI trip. I did the same on my whirlwind NYC tour. But we need to hang sometime, srsly.

So far so good! I did have a little SNAFU this evening where I was squeezing the button on the end and realized that I was squeezing the last little bit out, I was pulling the needle halfway out of my belly and a bead of liquid came out... but oh well, I am trying not to sweat the small stuff and am telling myself it couldn't have been that much medicine anyway, and besides, I'm only on 75iu until they see how I react.

So, yeah. It's hard to not be a neurotic mess.

We had the same thing the first time we did it except there was still about half of the medicine in the pen. Joel had to stick me again and push it all the way in. We looked so stupid trying to figure it all out in the beginning. When do you go in for a follie check??

I've watched Big Brothers 1, 3, 5, 6 and 7. All the cool, smart kids watch shows like BB and Survivor, because it's the sheer train-wreck-i-ness of it all. ;)
