Is anyone interested in going to THIS? I have no idea what kind of crowd it's going to draw, but it's just so dang close to our house... it's tempting.
It's $25/person, though. But 3 hours of martinis!

Dude, McKenna's is not straight, not at all. It's full of wealthy gay white men who have gentrified the whole Savin Hill area! (Though they were probably at work on Friday making more MONEY so they can buy more Victorians.) White? Absolutely.
I'm sure the Blarney Stone is equally White and significantly straighter. From the times I've driven by, it seems to be a yuppie bar. It's for a "Fields Corner Revitalization" fundraiser or something - that should be the first clue. ;)
I would McKenna's was less yuppie and more townie.
I'm kinda skeeved out by places where I walk in and every person is White. It gets me to wonder why that is, and then I start getting all weird.
But dude, if it has unlimited martinis for $25, I'm there. Otherwise, maybe we should find somewhere else to kick it? I'm going to my neighborhood ass ociation at 6:30, unless we do end up going to the martini place. But would love to bust out of there on the early end and kick it.
Jen is thinking that she wants to get dinner somewhere, although I'm not sure where that would be. She gets home around 7pm. If you're not thinking food, we can eat and then kick it with you after - heck, we can watch a movie at someone's house even. We're cheap!
But yeah, I don't like seeing only White people, either. It's one of the reasons I don't miss the Midwest. But McKenna's IS incredibly White. Although it was much more townie on Friday than I had ever seen it.
