Pack pack pack all day long

The plan for the day is to do a lot of packing. The weather is cooperating by being especially horrific. It is so gross outside - really pouring down rain, windy and grey. Yuck. Good day to stay inside and pack. Too bad we've been sitting on our butts watching things like "Flip this House" on A&E On Demand.

I packed one box. That's a start, right? I did summer clothes. By the time I need them again, I won't fit into them. Har har. I also pulled out more clothes for the Goodwill bag. I also need to put some of my computer stuff on craigslist ASAP (my old desktop, scanner, printer, and computer desk). I hate packing.

Jen is in the spare room diligently packing whatever is stashed into that huge storage closet. It's like the land that time forgot in there. When we were remodeling the spare room I found a box from when we moved that we had never unpacked! (Dang, I should have left it.) Does anyone LIKE packing? Want to come over? I will give you a big kiss.

Okay, back to packing. Maybe I will do books next. Good times.

I like packing and am extremely good at it. I can't help this weekend because of the head cold and the looming project deadline. But perhaps I can offer to come help you make major inroads into this next weekend?

*no, really, I'm not lying or exagerating. I am a packing fiend! And I can tetris a truck together like nobody's business. Just ask Dchenes, I packed her truck to move to Ohio for grad school. over 500 miles and not a single thing moved in the load or got broken. And she still had 6 feet of room to spare at the tail of the truck for last minute shit.*

I am a mean packer, too. We would be quite a team! Any time you want to come over is okay with me, evenings or weekends. Next Sunday we will probably spend part of the day with my grandparents, but otherwise it will be moving central up in here!

Okay. How's about we touch base middle or late in the coming week to plan a time to have a little pack-fest? Halley and I should be looking at houses again next weekend once I have my draft grant out of my hair. That will probably take place Saturday morning. So maybe sometime on Saturday after we hunt the wild house will work for everyone?
