Where I complain a lot
Nov. 12th, 2006 06:26 pmI am so effing exhausted right now it is not even funny. I need to seriously kick this cold ASAP because this is my last full week of work and I can't really miss a day because I am transferring all of my cases this week. I think I have 6 visits tomorrow alone. Dear god.
I actually ventured out of the house today. Jen and I went to my work to get my work stuff for tomorrow (usually do that on Friday), then went to Target, Home Depot, and Stop and Shop. I think we were gone for 1.5 hours total and by the time we got to SnS I was a /zombie/. I mean, whining, begging to just go home.
I feel so freaking heavy and warm behind my eyelids and my nose is beginning to get congested. In some ways that's good because I know the worst of the illness is over (I always get the aches/fatigue/whatever first and then my body seems to detox) but at the same time I /hate/ having a stuffed nose. Not being able to breathe through my nose bothers me so much and I get crap sleep. Crappier than my usual crap sleep, because I can't seem to sleep at all these days. I wake up a million times a night, sometimes to pee, sometimes to have some whacked out dream, sometimes because I think the cats caught another mouse, sometimes just because, and then by 6am because the freaking sun is out and my internal clock says "WAKE UP." I've begun calling the inky hour between 4:30 and 5:30 "The Dead Zone" because I wake up at 4:30 pretty much every morning and then can not fall asleep until at least after 5:30. It's like some weird internal mess and it is like clockwork. So yeah, I need some sleep. I'm becoming a major headcase. :)
I am going to attempt to go to bed early again tonight. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. But when I'm sick I don't sleep well, so we'll see what happens. Maybe I will take a steamy shower tonight and try to prevent some of the nose clogging... or put on some nasty vicks vapo-rub which actually scares me to petroleum death. Yuck.

Date: 2006-11-13 01:24 am (UTC)The sleeping thing doesn't get any easier. I'm up at least 2-3 times a night to pee and it gets hard to find comfortable positions to sleep in.
I guess it's all preparation for when the baby gets here!

Date: 2006-11-13 06:41 pm (UTC)What also sucks is that while you're pregnant you have a good chance of being stuffed up more for non-sick reasons. Your increased blood flow causes congestion in your nose. I didn't notice it a lot until after allergy season when I just wasn't feeling like I could breathe as well as I should have.
And yay for Thursday and new Ultrasounds! woo!
