I got out of the house a little bit today - out to breakfast down the road and then to run a couple of holiday errands. Disgusting things were going on with my body but it was kind of nice to be out in the land of the living. And it was a positively gorgeous day. At 11am, it was around 55°. So lovely!

We managed to knock four gifts out with gift cards. Score! We have three more gifts to buy, and two of them will likely be gift cards. Do you sense a pattern here? We also decided today not to get a tree or decorate for the holidays this year. It's sad, because I love holiday decorations, but our hearts aren't really in it and we have too many other things that we could be doing around the house besides bringing more stuff in.

I watched hours and hours and hours of a "Little People, Big World" marathon. That is quite an addictive show! I just love them. I can see why Peas loves the show. It is so Peas. Then Jessica came over and I made her watch it, too. I probably bored her to death but that's my exciting life these days.

I think I'm going to call it an early night and hope to get some good sleep. I have been having fitful sleep because I'm so worried to wake up to unhappy surprises. I need to get a good, solid night of sleep. Stat!

I love weekends. I wish Jen never had to go to work. I love it when she's around.

Yeah, I know. It would drive me nuts if that was my house. But I'd love a pirate ship!

the fitful sleep is probably at least in part *because* of the pregnancy. i sleep like CRAP when i'm pregnant. in fact, i've had better sleep since tate was born than i did when i was pregnant. (reason #578907 NO MORE BABIES!)

Yeah, I definitely have the pregnancy insomnia thing going on... but it's worse when I have the red bleeding because I wake up a million times to check, and if I check and find blood then I'm all worked up... otherwise I wake up to pee and then toss and turn for a while.

Maybe I should invest in some unisom.

I'm leery of that sort of thing, not just because I'm not a med-taker, but because Benadryl has the opposite effect on me (makes me wired).

Yeah, like I need MORE problems. :)

I should just put on television. It always makes me sleepy. (But I don't do TV in the bedroom, so...)

We skipped the Christmas decorations and tree last year and just put presents by the fire place.

For some reason this scarred kids- as we decorated this year, they kept speaking as if we had never put lights on the house, or ever had a tree, or ever put up decorations around the house. I was like, dude, it was just one year!

That's funny. Kids are funny. I guess when you're under 10, a year is a REALLY long time... so it's like not having decorations in FOREVER!

Now it seems like Christmas comes every other month. Sheesh!
