judecorp: (i love you)

I received a very touching e-mail and PayPal donation today from several LJ friends. It looks like [livejournal.com profile] keelamonster orchestrated the whole thing (correct me if I'm wrong) and lots of people got involved. I'm not even sure how she got in touch with such a varied gang of people or why they all donated money to me.

I'm still a little leery of receiving anything baby-related because I'm still so scared that our baby is not going to make it. I get a little more reassurance on Thursday but the fact that we are nearing five straight weeks of continuous bleeding and spotting makes me very, very scared. All signs last week pointed to a healthy baby but why the bleeding and spotting? So frustrating.

Anyway, enough of that. A very big THANK YOU to everyone who pitched in to lighten our load a little bit. It really caught me by surprise and I am very thankful to have good friends who care so much to go out of their way for me. So these are the people who are awesome:

[livejournal.com profile] oddharmonic, [livejournal.com profile] jeney, [livejournal.com profile] cathboblet, [livejournal.com profile] kcmedc, [livejournal.com profile] snack, [livejournal.com profile] kjames, [livejournal.com profile] estrange, [livejournal.com profile] laurajones, [livejournal.com profile] tehdawgfather, and of course the lovely and beautiful [livejournal.com profile] keelamonster

I honestly don't know what to say other than, "thank you." You are kind and lovely people and I am honored to call you friends. We are lucky people indeed.

ahh, but this, sweet, isn't specifically baby-related. This is 'new house, new community, new jobs, new fridge, new furnace, new dryer, new pellets' related. Benjamin Moore related! All good things related, in whatever shape they take *smishes*

I know, but I'm not great about accepting money... so imagining it is for the kid takes some of the heat off of me.

Either way, you guys were VERY generous and we appreciate it muchly.

Yes, what [livejournal.com profile] cathboblet said! You could spend it all on Otter Pops, should you choose that route. :D

Ugh...I've been so totally busy that I never responded to Keelamonster's email. I was thinking I had another week yet before Christmas when I was talking to my folks and they asked if I was going to be coming to visit on my off-days this week. Forgive me for the absent-mindedness. I'm sorry that I missed out. I hope that my best wishes and hugs can suffice.

Oh don't even sweat it. Seriously! Hugs would be great - come bring them in person!

Keelamonster is indeed the guilty party, and she's good like that. She's one of those people I wish I knew outside of LJ, you know?

Keeley is a great friend and I wish I could know her in real life. Oh and I know all about the baby jinks. I'm on pins and needles now trying to hold off until the 24th to test. It's not looking very promising and it'll be a real downer if I'm not. I think you're going to be just fine. I know the bleeding is scary, but I think moonbeam has enough attitude to survive just fine. Hugs to you and Jen and a very merry Yule.

I'm sorry you didn't get your Yule BFP, but you know, there's nothing wrong with a Samhain baby. Jen and I are both Libras and let me tell you, it's a nice place to be. :)

Thank you for all of your positivity and energy. It's really helping.

Yeah a Samhain baby would be great except... CJ was born on Chris' birthday Nov 4th. It was great and unplanned and she is thrilled he was born on her birthday. My problem is if this next baby is born a few days before CJ that he will be jealous. I am incredibly jealous of my younger brother whose birthday is four days before mine. He took mommy away from me for my birthday and I don't know if I can ever forgive him for that and I don't want that to be CJ's case. A few weeks before is different. Then it doesn't seem like your sibling gets to open his birthday presents right before you even though you are older. So that's all I'm worried about. We might try this go round we might not. It will all depend on when I o. I hope the bleeding is slowing for you at least. I'm sending all the positive energy I can for you guys. Here's to a happy new year and a smoother prenancy ride.

Oh, yeah - I can see where that could be a sticky situation. My brother's birthday is in the spring and mine is in the fall, so we never had to worry about it. Actually, my birthday isn't near anyone in my family, so it was a shock when Jen and I got together (we share a birthday) because I never had to share anything!

I'm afraid to say too much for fear of jinxing, but I haven't had any gushing blood since we were in the ER over a week ago. I had a couple of instances of dripping blood (much better than gushing) in the two days after the big bleed, but it's been light brown spotting ever since. And I'd like to keep it that way.

Yay for lightening the load. And Cath was totally right: this is moving stuff and painting stuff and oh my god, it cost $285 to install the dryer stuff. Even if you weren't knocked up, you'd still be all "ack!" about the house/moving/christmas.

So enjoy! Merry Christmas! And now you totally owe Laura and me a trip to NC. Mwahahahahaa. :D

I know, but it SEEMS better to take money for the kid, you know. :) Either way, thank you very much and you are very, very sweet.

Our furnace thingie should be fixed next weekend, which will be a nice change. And we still need to paint the dining room. Whee!

Thank you so much for everything. I would LOVE to come out to see you and Laura - as long as we could con Cath into coming, too - it would be AWESOME! All of you aunties should all bust up here when the kid is born!
