My mouth and throat are a little more normal today, which is nice. I still get pain in the jawbone when I touch it, so I suppose it's a good thing that I got the antibiotics. I suppose I have a decent infection going on there. Let's just hope it clears itself up and doesn't mess up the Frankinator.

Jen and I spent most of today running errands, which means shopping. We took her phone in to get fixed which was a major waste of time, then hit PetCo and then the mall. And of course I loathe mall shopping, but Jen wanted some new jeans and pants, and then we were going to use the Macy's gift certificates we got from my aunt and uncle to buy new towels for the house. It was a success on both fronts and we got some shower gel at the Body Shop sale as well, but by the end of the afternoon I was SO done with shopping and malls. I have never been a huge fan of shopping, but I got so out of shape on bedrest. Oy.

I hate going all the way out to PetCo but they let you refill your tub of cat litter and it's incredibly cheap. So we generate less waste and less expense, which is nice. You would think the cats would appreciate this effort but nooo, they are just lounging around as usual.

Jen is watching a Top Chef marathon. It is kind of lame because we've already seen them all. Why is there nothing on? *whine*

Hey do you know if the "refilling the tub of litter" thing applies to the pressed paper or wood forms of litter such as Yesterday's News? We can get wood stove pellets most of the year, which are a hell-of-cheap alternative to the pulp litter, but most stores don't carry wood stove pellets in the height of summer.

You know, that's a good question. I'm inclined to say no, especially in regards to PetCo. I'm pretty sure refill only pertains to the gigantic dispenser of clay clumping cat litter they have.

I don't know about out there, but here you can actually buy a whole pallet (1 ton or 100 bags) of wood pellets at a time for a bit of a reduced cost - I think a pallet at most stores here is about $250. It's a big expense, but damn if it wouldn't hold you over for a while.

*snort* I honestly don't know. It's a pretty good show, even for someone who does not cook AT ALL (that would be me, unless you count mac and cheese as cooking), although I could see more appeal if you knew what they were doing. But for me it's not one of those shows that warrants a re-watch, KWIM?

As for this season, I have the hots for Sam, a greasy, curly-haired hunka hunka who I'm pretty sure was my sperm donor for Frankie.

You should go to the pet store that Steph works at. It's closer to you, anyway... but they may not have the free litter refills.

Where does she work? It's closer to me than you, sure, but... Why am I even saying this? I can't promise that if I ever ran into her I would say anything nice.

When we first bought the 30lb bucket, it was about $15 or $16. Now it's $11 to fill.

Sometimes I can get 28lb buckets cheaper at Target, sometimes I can't. This is a done deal fixed price all the time.
