Wow, I never thought we would see this day. It seemed like everyone was so cautious about us getting to 12 weeks, then 13. And here we are at 15 and I'm starting to go back to feeling like that person that thinks her body can just take care of it.

I don't want to get too cocky because I have definitely learned that you NEVER know what can happen the next day or even later in the day. And there are still moments that I get a little creeping paranoia that I'm bleeding again - like phantom bleeding. It's so PTSD.

I don't really know how we made it through weeks 7-14 but we did and I am definitely hoping that we are on the other side of something really hard. Maybe we can take a breather before the next big hard thing comes along.

You guys are awesome. Well, I mean, I know that J is, but I can only assume from what she's said and what I've deduced from your writing that you are as well. Keep up the good work, keep up your spirits, and keep growing that baby!

She is awfully awesome, isn't she? (Just don't ask me on one of my off days.)

This has sure been a wild ride. I really honestly thought the tough part would be GETTING pregnant. I had no idea!

I sure hope you're right. It's nice to not be paranoid to stand up or take a shower for a change. Hopefully I can get used to this.

And yes, it's true, I'm a complete and total nerd.

Yes. I'm not AS showeriffic as you are (one a day, thanks, and I can skip sometimes) but I sure don't like being AFRAID to shower.

I hope there's a bass case with your name on it!

25 weeks to go! I can't even believe I am going to find out the gender (hopefully) in less than a month!

But won't you actually be finding out the *sex*? :P

Yes. And I am usually a total psycho about that. I blame my typo on entering too many books on gender into the work database.

Yanno, I felt like an ass pointing it out because I *know* it's something you're very aware of. I think it must've been something do with the thrill of correcting an expert. ;) Forgive me?

oh, Cool. :) Thanks. I will.
I went to my ob/gyn today and he told me, well you're doing everything right, I want to see you back here soon, pregnant! I said, "Yeah, me too!"

I need to be in with the rest of the crowd!

I'm so proud of you for getting through the first trimester still sane! I hated the first trimester. The second one is much better. When you start feeling Frankie move it will be magical!

Date: 2007-01-10 07:49 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] judecorp.livejournal.com
Well, sanity is debatable. ;) But I can't believe I actually made it out with a healthy fetus! It really didn't look like it for a while there.

I can't wait to feel movement. I know you had to wait a while... I am hoping it happens soon!!!

From: [identity profile] sassywoman.livejournal.com
I didn't feel movement until 22-23 weeks but I had an anterior placenta and that's why. I bet you'll feel something between 18-20 weeks if I had to guess. :)

Are you planning to when you get to 20 weeks, find out the sex of the baby?

Understandable about being paranoid, I know I would be if I were pregnant and had complications cropping up all the time. You'll do fine, kiddo!

We actually have a full anatomy scan scheduled for 18w2d, and that is when we will hopefully find out the sex. So keep your eyes peeled for updates on Feb. 2!

Here's hoping the worst is over!

Woohoo!

I never noticed that phantom bleeding feeling until I started using a reusable menstrual cup and thought of it as phantom leaking.

From: [identity profile] judecorp.livejournal.com
Heh, isn't it weird? I certainly never noticed it before. Now every once in a while I am TOTALLY convinced I am bleeding and I go look, and nothing.

I'm glad I'm not the only one!
