I had oatmeal for breakfast this morning, a little earlier than usual because I had to stop at the real estate lawyer's place to pick up our deed and stuff. It was a quick stop, and as I pulled out of her parking lot, I realized it was definitely a two-breakfast kind of day. I began fantasizing about bagels with cream cheese as I headed down the street.

Since I was about 45 minutes early for work, I made a Dunkin stop for a delicious bagel and a hot chocolate (that wasn't very hot, but was certainly chocolate). Mmmmm. So tasty.

Now I should be all set until lunch at 1 or so. Ha!

Do hobbits eat two breakfasts? I know nothing about hobbits. But I do love eating breakfast! :)

When I was pregnant I realized that I was eating much like a Hobbit.

Breakfast
Second breakfast
Elevensies
Lunch
Tea
Supper
Dinner
Before bed snack
3am snack....

It was ridiculous - and I only made it to 7 weeks or so!

Now see, you know far more about this hobbit business than I do. I was forced to read The Hobbit in 7th grade and it wasn't really my bag, baby.

But I sure do like to eat!

so funny, it really was a two breakfast day! I worked at home, so rather than eating a granola bar in the car, I had a
1) half bagel with maple country crock at 8
2) half bagel bacon and tomato sandwich at 10

YUM!

You *should* be eating twice before lunch anyways dude! No way can/should a preggo go that long with no food. I eat a morning snack every freakin day! Plus I eat an afternoon snack before dinner, and sometimes a bedtime one too!

Well, I eat when I'm hungry. I don't really stress about it. I don't eat breakfast until 9 or 9:30 usually, so it's not much of a stretch to wait until 12:30 or 1:00 to eat lunch.

I have a lot of snacks that I eat sometime in the after lunch period, but sometimes I don't. It depends how I'm feeling. I trust my body. (Unless it only wants things like McDonald's and ice cream.)

*shrug* I don't know. I was never a big eater, now I eat more than I ever have, so I think it's fine.

Yeah, I guess if you are eating breakfast that late...I eat breakfast really early so I would be dying by then.

Yeah, when I eat earlier I need something sooner, too. :)

I'm 16 weeks and IN LOVE with donuts! I have actually found a place nearby that has the most incredible custard filled donuts I've ever had!! Oh, and I hate it when hot chocolate is most definitely NOT hot!! Glad to hear that your doing good! Have you scheduled your big ultrasound yet?

Mmmm, donuts. I am trying to avoid them because I try not to eat too many trans fats (although I do slip up sometimes) and donuts are deliciously full of them. But man, now I want a donut!

Big ultrasound scheduled for 02/02.

I eat oatmeal alot lately because it's helpful for milk production, or so I've been told. It NEVER sticks with me and I'm ALWAYS hungry again a couple hours later.

Yeah, what's up with that? I've always been told that oatmeal is a "stick to your ribs" kind of breakfast but I find that every other breakfast sticks with me longer than oatmeal. Before I was PG I found an oatmeal that I liked, it was Quaker Weight Control and was higher protein and fiber... but then I found out it contained Splenda (DAMMIT) and I had to kick it to the curb.

Man, oatmeal sucks.

Bagels are quite possible the most perfect food item out there (especially with a good flavored cream cheese)...

It is entirely normal for you to crave such a perfect food.

Also, although I like the name Frankenbaby, can we call it Head now, instead? Because that would add a great deal of perfect-ness to such a perfect food craving.

Perfect.

I need to find a delicious place like Einstein Bros where I can have an assortment of cream cheeses for my palate! There's a Bruegger's here but there's nowhere to park, so that's not really going to help matters. DANG IT.

You can call the baby anything you want, as long as you let him/her call YOU anything s/he wants! ;)
