This has been a week of ups and downs. I've been kind of stressed and emotional, likely due to lack of sleep, and that never really helps the week flow along. I've started doing these trainings at work, so last night I was at a residence hall until nearly 8pm. (*drops*) And I have another training at 1:00 today which means a hike across campus is this rain/sleet mix thing we've got going on. Bleh.

On Wednesday I had a meeting with a guy across campus. It was a hike and by the time I got to his office, my pelvis was burning. (Ouch.) And he wasn't there! I was a major grumpy pants and told Jen to come to my work early to make up for it (we were having dinner with a friend that night)... but when I got back to the office, the guy was in MY office asking, "Did you forget about me?" Charmed, I'm sure. So I told him to disregard the snarky-ass message I left on his voicemail. Whoops. Then Jen came and I was still meeting with the guy. Bleh.

[livejournal.com profile] thatpatti was kind enough to send me a box of her maternity clothes to borrow. She sent it on February 20th. WHERE IS IT? That is the million dollar question. Tracking number says it got to Springfield on the 22nd. Springfield is 20 minutes from here, and that was 10 days ago. No package. Yesterday I called the Springfield distribution center (no package), the Easthampton post office (no package) and the USPS main number (no help). Springfield dude says, "Oh, it's parcel post and can take 21 days." I say, "Okay, but did you EAT it? Because it got to your place over a week ago." Do they just leave it somewhere for 20 days and then go, "Oh! 21 days!"? I will feel awful if all of Patti's things get lost. Bleh.

Remember the gym fiasco? A couple of weeks ago they agreed to cut me a check for the money I'm owed. I gave them my new address. But where is the check? Maybe it's with Patti's clothes. Bleh.

In a decidedly NON-bleh, last night Jen and I were trying to con the baby into kicking by poking, talking, rubbing, whatever. She leaned over to kiss the belly and got kicked in the mouth! Yep, that's my kid.

Seriously. I know it costs a lot to ship a big box but I would have totally paid shipping. I feel so awful, worried if my friend's stuff is lost somewhere. They say I can't even register a complaint until March 12!!

USPS/UPS UGH

I have serious issues with all forms of mail delivery..maybe with the except of FEDEX.. I love how USPS can deliver my junk mail with no delay (AKA THe Crate and Barrel/Pottery Barn catalog etc) and yet checks that were' waiting for or specific invoices that are postmarked a month ago when we finally recieve them?? Rediculous! Also, now is the time that you get into that everyone gets a big fat kick! DH remembers when I was pg with dd and after the 24th week or so, whenever he put his arm around me at night and put any weight on my belly she'd kick him until he moved...hehe. She's still like that but now she's almost a 2 year old...lol. It'll be interesting to see if this one is the same or not.. When do you have your follow-up ultrasound? Soon right? (Stalking from FF..)

Yeah, how is it that the junk mail is never delayed? That is a good question. I hate the USPS.

I can't wait to get those BIG kicks!!

That sucks your package dissapeared. I just mailed one and the person never received it. Recently I mailed 2 packages USPS first class and the the buyer for both emailed me 2-3 weeks later and said they didn't receive it. The weird thing was the delivery confirmation showed the item was delivered a few days after I mailed it! What's even stranger is they ended up receiving the package after they emailed me - both people! How could something like that happen twice?! Does the mail person just hide it for a few weeks in the truck or what?

I'm done with the breast pump, BTW. I just need to take some pictures when I have time for you and figure out prices, etc.

That is totally weird about the shipping! It's crazy that they scanned the delivery confirmation yet hadn't actually delivered the package! That is just nuts!
