Miss me one, and miss me twice, and miss me once again

I am going to be /so/ spammed when I get back. Tomorrow morning I leave for a big road trip to Milwaukee, WI to go to the NGLTF Creating Change conference. I'm excited. My boss, my coworker, my coworker's partner, 6 students, and I are driving up in a big van and staying in 3 hotel rooms. 10 people. 3 rooms. Ummm? But it will be good. Activisty. Stompy. Mmm.

I am trying to be minimalist in my packing, because there will be lots of people. That equals lots of stuff. I'm using one small duffel bag. And a backpack. For homework and CDs. I know I will forget something. I just hope it's not something important.

The other night I had a cool dream where I met someone at this conference who ended up offering me the coolest post-graduation job. At the Harvey Milk School. Hee, that would totally rock. It would /never/ happen. I love dreams.

Of course, last night I kept waking up from dreams that I was fighting with Mark. Phooey. I hate nights where I toss and turn with night guilt. Gotta love 13 years of Catholic School.

Clothes - check. Toiletries - check. Homework - check. Cell phone charger - check. Todd's phone number, so we can hook up in Milwaukee - check. Margaret Cho tickets for James - check. (Thanks, happy2beso! You rock!) Still need - toothbrush, CDs, camera... there's more. I'm sure of it.

I'm up way too late. I'm still not done packing. You're shocked.

10 people in three rooms is pretty generous for a school paid trip. Students are expected to be able to sleep anywhere.
