Man, this kid of mine has some talented "aunties," let me tell you. She is going to have the best hand-made stuff on the block!

Yesterday when I got home from work I was greeted by a package from [livejournal.com profile] aminahfiddler. Inside was an absolutely gorgeous knitted blanket in a pretty, pretty purple. Machine washable, too - there's a thinker! Thank you so much, K!

I will have to take some pictures of it - perhaps tonight. I still need to take a picture of the gorgeous green blanket that auntie [livejournal.com profile] stacy gave us when she was in town. Gosh, that seems like ages and ages ago.

It is always amazing to me that our kid is so loved already when she's not even here. I mean, of course she is loved by us and all of that but it is especially touching when other people get involved in the love, too. You guys are the best!

You're welcome.

I posted some pictures on my LJ. One with our dog mattie enjoying the blanket.

I love Mattie! And I love the blanket, too. :) I only know how to do basic knitting so I don't understand those hearts you put on it, but it's awfully cute.

You are awesome! xoxoxo

We love Mattie too. She's actually Steve's dog. Mattie adopted Steve. When him and his ex were going to split up it was the only thing an argument was going to happen over. So we share custody of her. We have her for about 2 weeks then she goes to her "other" home. Vacations and stuff are worked out so she never has to go to a kennel when we travel.

Yes, she's a very well loved member of our family. I tried to get the cats to love on the blanket too but they wanted nothing to do with it.

I've only been knitting for about 2 years now. I got the "craft" gene from my grandmother so pretty much anything I try I can do. It's much easier than it looks. It's a matter if just following the instructions without double thinking them.

One day when we meet in person, I'll show you. That is if I'm not too busy ignoring you and playing with the baby. :-)

Sounds good! I like when people show me things. :)

I'm just not much of a crafter. I don't have the attention span. I envy you!
