Schedule switch!

I got to ditch work early today to go to the midwife, which was a nice way to ease into working after a four-day weekend. And it's nice to go in the morning because it's a lot cooler in the office. I'm glad I made the switch from 11:30-5 to 9-2:30.

Midwife visit went well and was a quickie. The nurses were all on lunch so the midwife did everything - weight, urine, BP, the whole deal. Her BP reading was WAY better than the nurses'. So I guess I'm currently safe on that end.

Jen agreed to stop at Friendly's on the way home to hit the ice cream window, yay! Ice cream is the ultimate heartburn remedy. (And the tastiest!) Mmmmmm, ice cream. Problem is I always want more More MORE!

I need a haircut SO BAD. I meant to go this afternoon but I drove right past the place without stopping. Whoops. Next time, Gadget!!

Yeah, be careful when you get your haircut. I went in August and told the guy to do something different and he actually said to me, "honey, you're pregnant. And you don't want a different haircut, you want to not look pregnant. I can't do that with a haircut and if I do something different, even if you hate your hair now, you'll get home and cry. And I will not do that to a pregnant woman."

He was awesome. I really didn't care if I looked pregnant, but he was right. If I'd done something radically different, I'd have cried.

Of course, you have the cute, short hair that's always adorable, so maybe you won't have the same issues I did.

I am not looking for any kind of major haircut, just that my current haircut is getting muy shaggy and not at all flattering. Getting into "have to wear a ballcap" territory.

I always said that I would shave my head again when I got bigly pregnant (if I ever got pregnant), and here I am bigly pregnant in the summer and I haven't done it. I wonder why. :)

No, it was a good thing. He was right. I then read it in a couple of other books about not getting a major haircut or change when you're pregnant. because you just want to not look pregnant, and that's impossible.

I don't want to not look pregnant. I like looking pregnant. I have waited to look pregnant for a long time! But man, you get what you wish for, right? Because now I can't stop those older women from asking me questions about whether I'm uncomfortable or whatever. WEIRD.

I did successfully get a haircut. Score one for the good guys.

Ohhh haircut. I got a bang trim last week in my own bathroom...ugh by me. When that happens they are the straight across kind, but when I actually make an appointment to see my friend she makes them layers and sophisticated.

What kind of ice cream do you get usually?

I was asking Jen to cut my hair but she is scared she is going to mess it up. She offered to shave it all off again but for whatever reason I am reluctant. I guess because it took too long to grow? I don't know. Hair is so complicated.

As for ice cream, there are very few ice creams I don't like. I don't like things with a lot of nuts, but that's about it. So most of the time I will get something new every time. :)

I am glad I'm not the only one touting the medicinal uses of ice cream. I never get sick of ice cream. NEVER.
