It's getting hot in here...

Hot today. REALLY hot today. It's 7:30pm and it's currently about 93°. That's not typical up in these parts. Good thing Jen installed the window A/C in the bedroom on Sunday. In an hour I'll crank it up so it will be good for comfy sleeping.

We're pretty lucky with our house, though, in terms of staying cool. High of 97° today, still 93°, and it's somewhere around 80° in here with no A/C. Not too bad.

I went swimming with Morgan over at his apartment complex pool today, which was a very welcome break from the heat. The pool was a bit chilly but it sure helped when we got out and could actually sit outside for a while. Tons of people from the apartment complex were there, including several young girls, one of whom was pregnant and had a cute, big belly with NO stretch marks! (WTF?). I try not to be a majorly judgmental about what people do, but when she started smoking I got really irritated. Grrrr.

But the swimming was awesome!

mmm hot. It's warm here today, and I'm supposed to go swimming on Sunday for the Chunky Dunk -- but sadly, it looks like it might rain by then. *poo on that*

When I worked at a gas station, I REALLY wished I could refuse to sell cigarettes to pregnant women. Seriously, if a pharmacist can refuse to fill birth control because of their personal beliefs and values, shouldn't I be able to refuse to sell them cigs? Anyway, I'm with you on that. "It pisses me off" in my very best Cartman voice.

80 degrees, I would die and wouldn't get up off the couch. When I'm not preggo I can handle 80 no prob. I don't know how you're doing it!

"Excuse me, could you not smoke here? The toxins you're releasing are going to harm my baby."

whenever i walked into work.. when i was working... which was at a mall.... i would always see pregnant women smoking... i just wanted to go up to them and smoke.... whats worse are the women who are at the hospital who are about to give birth and they walk outside with their IVs in tow and light up in the parking lot... one woman was hiding in her man's car.. probably because she knew how stupid she looked!

So take off all your clothes

*I am ... getting...so...hot.....I'm gonna take my clothes off!"

Why am I the only one who has that song in my head now? Huh? We finally broke down and turned on the A/C yesterday... "it wasn't the heat, it was the humidity."

I think it's going back off tomorrow since it's supposed to cool down a bit. And really, we did it for the animals. ;)

Do you hate me? I have no stretch marks from Julia.

I do have stretch marks on my hips and thighs from puberty, when I assumed the stereotypical Italian figure, and on my breasts from when my milk came in and I went up to a G cup. FUN.

I spent a few of the hottest days of last summer hiding in a lounge in William's office cause our temporary place only had AC in the bedroom.

I think we're totally going to need to invest in a baby pool soon though! Geesh it is hot today.

My friend was born in 1978 and her mom's always been a smoker. Her mom told her that she first noticed my friend kicking as a baby because the ashtray resting on her belly would jump a little bit. Wow.
Thought you'd like that one.
Meredith :)
