Besides Winston Churchill baby and Gus? You seem to be coming up with them fine on your own! I'm not that creative- I guess there's always Auggie. Or you could go the Ruth root - Ruthie, or A.R. I don't know!

I mean, you could always go the Yiddish route, like my family - I was nudnik and pchech - essentially "pain in the ass". Sweet, huh?

Yeah, those Jews sure do like to give their kids endearing names. Then again, I also call the baby "stinky butt" and "stinky pants," so I suppose I'm guilty, too.

I'm not the biggest fan of Auggie (Jen's mom wanted to call her that hardcore!) but I'm sure I can come up with more nicknames. Usually we just call her "the baby," or "baby girl" or "little girl" or "peanut" or "sweet pea" or "pumpkin." What can I say, I am a sap.

I like sweet pea. "Pumpkin" was maylie's nickname, "buggaboo" was Greg's nickname. Still trying nicknames on Vivi. There's princess, sweetie pie, sweetheart, and "the baby". so far. ;-)

did you have nicknames in mind when you chose the name August, or were you thinking she'd be born at 46 weeks? ;-) I had the name Vivi in mind when I was thinking of Vivienne (and the possibility that she might want to be Viv later on)

Yes. FINALLY. I started shaving most of my head again a while back and I meant to get a haircut on July 2nd... but ended up having the baby the day before. It got REALLY shaggy after that, but last Friday I was able to sneak away. :)

i knew a baby once who came out with massive amounts of straight blond hair that stuck straight up in the air. she never lost the hair, but we all were a little sad when it started to lay down :)

Nikki constantly has her neck to the right. Never to the left. I've had to make sure to move her head to the left side so that I can clean the "second chin" crease because it was irritated and yucky from dribbled breastmilk.
