Best Mama Award

So I thought I was in line for the Best Mama Award because I bundled the baby up in the stroller and took her on a nice walk.

I put her in the bouncer when I got back so I could scarf some lunch. She was registering upset but not crying, so I let her wait a bit. And then went to change her diaper.

Who forgot to put the diaper cover over the prefold? And didn't check until it had soaked the prefold, the onesie, and the pants? That's right, the Best Mama.

Her bum was so chilly!! Poor little punk!!

Ok this is SO going to be TMI, but what I wouldn't give for chilly bottom bits right now. I sit on ice packs half the time, seriously. I'll trade her!

Oh I know, there will be worse. Heck, she fell off the bed when she was 3 weeks old and had to go to the ER for a CT Scan... so I know that a wet diaper and pants is the least of her worries.

I just think it's funny because there are so many times I /almost/ forget to put the diaper cover on... but I actually DO forget when I take her out of the house! HA!

If that's payment, I owe her already! She poops outside of diapers quite a bit. :) Yesterday she somehow got the poop totally outside of the diaper all down the leg of the footies. I don't know how she missed the diaper - it was totally secured!

Poor little peanut. I know she forgives me, though. I just can't believe I took her out of the house with just a prefold on. Ha ha ha!

Hey, I see the day comming that will be us.. We decided to also do those diapers too.. Just signed up monday for them. So when we have a baby shower they can do those instead of buying actual diapers..

Hey, Since im reading more and more. Never heard did you actually try and pump to increase the milk flow? Im sure you tried everything.. just didnt hear how that went for ya.. ( I dont read enough im sure )

Also, what kind of formula you using now.. Didnt know if we should still send you coupons when we get them for you.. No sense in throwing them away if you can use them right?.. Anything to help out a fellow mother..

Are you doing a diaper service? I am the diaper service around here (meaning I was our own) - these were borrowed from a friend because they are currently easier than the all-in-ones that we have. Prefolds are super easy for little babies because you have to change them so much!

I tried a number of things to increase my milk supply and the only thing that has worked is a drug called domperidone that is not available in the United States. Friends have sent it to me so I make a LITTLE bit of milk but I still have to mainly feed her formula (we use Enfamil if you ever end up with more coupons). Professionals think I just have inadequate breast tissue (which isn't necessarily a small breast thing, just that the glands and tissue didn't develop correctly) so I don't have enough milk glands to produce milk. So I am going to keep taking the medication until she is 3 months old (I have enough to make it to that point and am not going to try to buy more) so I can give her some of my milk, and we also have received some donated breastmilk from a couple of other mamas which will ensure she continues to get some milk.
