Here is the current hairdo, except that you have to imagine that the shaved part is a lot longer now, maybe an inch or more, and is sticking out in funny ways:

rock on, baby!
(Note: This is not an attractive photo. Also, the baby is so small. Also also, Jen is making a weird face. Also also also, I had gotten my head shaved maybe 2 days before, and that was the last time it was done. And that was... what? 8 weeks ago?)

Here is a picture from when I buzzed my head last time:

judejenblah
(Note: Best faces ever. Also, I do not have a funny-shaped head, which is nice.)

Good enough?

Yes, I too have no hair recommendations. I am not helpful with hair.

But that was a great post just for all the notes you wrote for the first pic. :-) (BTW... I had assumed Jen was mimicking the baby with her face.)

You two are both total hotties. That is all.

I'd say that the baby is hot too, except then I'd be saying a baby is hot, and just...no.

Dude, that is just WRONG!

But what about the HAIR!??!??!

It depends on what you want to do with it. If you want your hair to be more on the longish side then I would just suffer through the awkwardness and let the shave part grow in. Then maybe you could cut the front so it evened out into a cute short cut?

Or you could just say "fuck it!" and shave the whole thing and start over. I like the long in the front on you though, that's why I'm hesitating to just say shave it even though that will probably work best.

I kind of like the longer hair too, I just have a major problem. That major problem is that the longer parts get really stupid looking if I don't blowdry them, and i don't have time to blowdry my hair anymore (heck, most of the time I don't have time to shower). So pretty much my hair is slicked back behind my ears, or in a do-rag or hat every day. Not really reaping the bennies of the hair, you know?

That baby is so darn cute. uh ... could you cut the front bangs down drastically without shaving the whole head? Give it a little shape?

Yeah, she is pretty cute. I can't wait to see Bacon Bit!

I'm terrified of bangs. Terrified. I don't know why. Traumatic childhood, I guess.

I say go for what is going to get you out the door in the least amount of time possible (which is why I just chopped about 6 inches off my hair). You and Jen are are just too cute (oh, gus too. :)

Seriously, it's TOUGH to get the personal maintenance in with the whole baby thing. :) You are cute!

I've been taking a shower or bath in the evening when Jen is home, just so I am clean. But then, but then... I go to bed. With wet hair.

It is awful.

you two are adorable.

i like long in front and short in back.

i've been short in front (think baby bangs) and longer in back for a while. but now i'm letting my bangs grow out.

I just wish the short part wasn't creeping up and over the back. Damn those people for effing it up!!

Saucy! I can't really do bangs well, they drive me nuts. But you - you're cute!

You did it the first time... but umm, if I remember correctly, you DIDN'T become my personal stylist! (Why didn't you, hunh? WHY??!?!)

p.s. I miss the Bike Gang.

oh, i didn't know you shaved it multiple times after that? i thought you let it grow out...

i miss bike gang, too... because i've become a fatass.

I kept it happily buzzed for quite a while, actually. Sometimes Jen did it in the kitchen. Heh, I said, "did it."

I'm a fatass too, man. Srsly. I haven't ridden my bike /since I left Columbass/.

I'd buzz it off, then as it grows you can do what you want with it. And you are pretty cute with a shaved head.

It takes a long time to grow out, that's the kicker. Then again, who needs hair, right? Right?

Oh, grandma will not like it. :) She was pretty vocal last time, heh.

Just shave it and start over. You are lucky to have a great head for it. And it doesn't get more low maintenance than shaved.

Ain't that the truth. And in the winter you just shove a warm winter hat on it and go. Which is nice. Nothing sucks more than having to, like, DO your hair.

p.s. I love your cat pic!

I'm not sure who this "vlindenhauer" character is, but I suspect someone reminiscent of "Dark Overlord".

Regrettably, I believe we left off with a "high maintenance" do.

Now that you have family issues, and are far away, you're in a bit of a bind.

... and there's no way I can make it to the nh area anytime soon ...

so ...

to buzz or not to buzz

Firstly I think we should remember that there is a difference 'tween buzz and shave. The words have been mixed up for sometime now. Although shaving would be cool, the maintenance on chrome-domed-ness is extreme (and a little weird). A buzzcut with the intention of "letting it grow out" is "a" solution. However, you'd be in a different "pickle"-as it were-(or would be) soon enough.

I say let it go.

Let it grow.

Just push or smooth the hair back. Hats, rags, grease, baby-goo ...

Your in nh, there are many "sets" representing ... I propose the hippy cult for now.

Yes, let it go, let it grow. And worry no more about the hair for some time to come.

Find a solution to just push it back and down (hats, rags, clips, grease) so that you can concentrate on everything else life is offering.

Oops! Sorry on the misspell. However could I make such a gaff with The Dark Overlord? But we're even, because I don't live in NH, I live in Western MA. So neener.

The hair, it is like crabgrass. It is sticking up every which way and it is driving me mad! In a month or so I need to start actively looking for jobs and I have no idea how I am going to do this with bushbaby hair. Ugh.

How could I let you talk me into a high maintenance 'do when I was getting a "haircut for two"? You are a persuasive sort of Overlord, I imagine.

HELP!

I believe I wrote nh referring to the Northampton area. I originally wrote NH, but in capitals I feared the worst ... and regrettably that's what transpired. Then again you may not even live in Northampton but only near it ... my apologies on that "mix up".

And, I'm sure at the time the "haircut for two" was the perfect solution --- at the time.

Be these cases as they may, I still side with the growing out. Just push that stuff back and down. Training it as you push it down and back as it grows.

In the meantime I'll pray.

Please continue praying for the hair. I wore a do rag out today which was fine, but I can't exactly wear a ball cap or a do rag to church tomorrow. I am so sick of this hair! ARGH!

Someday I will come back to Boston and you will have to do something. Someday. In the meantime, I'll be the one with the ball cap...
