Blissful silence

So every so often, like right now, the baby is asleep and I get a few moments to do something with two hands. And after I eat something (which is always #1), I usually go down the list of things I should be doing:

washing diapers
doing laundry
cleaning house
writing thank you cards

and then decide to goof on the computer instead. So then I think that I should take some time to answer my e-mail and my back LJ comments. And I realize that I have 120+ LJ comments sitting in my inbox...

and suddenly laundry seems like the quicker, easier option.

Woah.

OK, so I just saw the smashingly cute photo of August that Jen posted today, and I have to tell you, you can just tell that August has two mommies who are doing an amazing job. She looks filled with love and all good things! You gals rock!!! I promise it will get easier!

Thank you. It's nice to hear. Sometimes I think I have a hang of some of this stuff, and then of course she has to go and shake things up again! I know, welcome to the rest of my life, right? :)
