oh man! every time we go to fenway, they win. we went on friday to enjoy a breaking the curse bambino ale at boston beer works and walk around on yawkey way. we won.
yesterday we went to the yawkey way shop and bought some hats. and breathed in the fenway air. deeeply. we won.
we are going there right now before church. and probably after church too. because we can and because we need to. did you know that kevin millar is throwing the first pitch tonight?! COWBOY UP!
So I used to volunteer answering calls for the Fenway Health GLBT Helpline, and way back in the day (it's not now) it used to be in some office space up near the Fenway movie theatre. And I would walk down to Kenmore Square to catch the T home... and I loooooooved when it was a home game night. It would be about 10pm, dark, quiet except for the sounds of baseball, the lights all bright and exciting, and the fun crowds. I miss those walks.
This is the first year I haven't gone to Fenway in a LONG time. I'm envious of your Yawkey good times.
I am hijacking this thread just to let you know there's going to be a queer parenting get-together out your way (NoHo) on November 4th (Sunday), from 1-3... it's moms from the Mothering.dot.commune boards, so it's a pretty crunchy bunch for the most part, and very friendly. It'll be at one of hte moderator's house, in case of bad weather, and I think there's probably about 10 folk going already, some with kids, some still TTC...
So - if you or y'all are interested in going, just let me know and I'll forward the details to you once I get them...
