My kid has normal hips.

Tight leg. Uneven gluteal folds. Asymmetrical leg folds. But, "I don't know what it is, but it's not her hips."

Oh my god, though, the doc that checked her out after the ultrasound today pushed her legs apart SO hard (her legs are really difficult to push apart) and she was crying so badly! I felt so awful for her!

violet has less mobility with...one of her legs...than the other. nothing i noticed, but something they found on an mri when they were checking her for spina bifida occulta (occulta! scary!). i wonder if this could be something to check on for august? funny - the reason they did the scan at all was because she had a hairy patch above her butt crack :D

Ha ha ha, "occulta." But of course I had to go and look up what made it "occulta." Very interesting. August was checked like CRRRRRAZZY when she was just new because she has one of those sinus thingers (it kind of looks like an extra butthole) in her butt crack and they had to make sure it wasn't leading to some spinal opening or whatever. (They assured me it was closed.)

Man, babies are a tough business. Bleh.
