This is for evewasframed. And anyone else who cares about my kid's belly button, I guess. :)

It's been better for a long time now. The first picture is from August of last year. The other two are from today, but her belly button has looked like this since probably October. Maybe even earlier. I don't remember. It was whenever she started doing those weird crunches all the time.

Oh god, yes. That was the grossest thing, when it would squeak! Or we would stuff it back in and it would gurgle, and then she would do something and it would pop out and make a lot of noise.

Because there's a hole there, I think gas or something is audible through it. If some of the intestine or whatever poked through, SQUEAAAAAAAK!

I couldn't believe how big it got. It was really freaky! But I'm glad she's passed it on.

There is still a little hole there; I guess we'll have to see what happens over time.

Wow it was fixed on it's own?! Cool. I had one as a kid -- mine was a two inch outie that made my brothers think I was a boy. :P I had to have it surgically fixed when I was 4.

But umm, yeah, this one seems to be going away on its own. The hernia is still there (you can see the indent above the actual belly button) but it's not as crazy.

Wow, I guess I have never seen a full-on umbilical hernia. Ben's doctor said he had a mild one, but it pretty much looks like a normal belly button. It just sticks out slightly when he cries.

Gus's has gotten a lot better over time. And she's very cute!
