Sometimes you just gotta love 'em
Sep. 17th, 2005 08:45 pmMy grandparents are so wacky with their selective memories. No matter how many times I tell them certain things, it just doesn't sink in. But they try so hard!
Today I was in RI doing stuff and at about 4:00 I went to my grandparents' house to bring them something. My grandfather asked me to stay until 5:00 (dinner is at 5 on the dot, they're old) because he was going to make me a special treat for dinner.
Hamburgers.
So I tried my best to smile and seem gracious and all of that, even though I don't eat red meat and avoid it at pretty much all cost, and have since I was 17. And then my grandfather says, with the biggest smile ever, "Actually, for you, baconburgers."
It would be even cuter if my stomach didn't hurt so dang much after. ;)
