One more day
Jul. 28th, 2005 11:49 pmOnly one more day of work until we're on vacation for a week, and I know that both of us are just beside ourselves with excitement. We haven't ever had a week off together except when we were both unemployed, so it will be nice to just have all of that undivided time. Personally, I plan to spend a lot of time lounging, swimming, and reading parenting books. I have four of them out from the library right now and I think that's the perfect number to drive my MIL bonkers.
One more day of work and it's kind of a doozy. I offered to cover my coworker's playgroup tomorrow afternoon. First of all, I almost never work Friday afternoons. Second, playgroup after a morning of work is going to be quite a challenge. And I have gads of paperwork and other things that I really need to clear off my desk before I disappear for a week, so I'll probably be the last person at work tomorrow. Fun, fun. After work = pack and drive to RI.
The Dark Overlord cut my hair tonight. It's quite cute and I'm glad I was a little more descriptive about what I want than to say, "Oh, you know, whatever." He showed me his new parasol and a little video of his cat. I'm not even kidding. I also learned that having a 7pm appointment in the South End /sucks/ for parking. I ended up finding an empty "visitor" spot many blocks up from Liquid, and it was only empty because it was super tiny. But I used my Elite Parking Skills for good, yo!

I haven't done any creative writing in a really long time, and I haven't been taking many photos. This is not good - a lack of creativity is starting to make me bored of myself!
