I forgot that a million years ago,
vorpalbla gave me some questions to answer. Shoot.
1) Do you have a dream job? If so, what is it? Aside from the obvious ("mama"), I don't think I do. I used to think that X job or Y job was the perfect job for me, but one thing that all of these jobs has taught me is that I'm pretty adaptable and can make it work no matter what. However, I'm ready for a job with more responsibility and more clout. (And more pay.) And ideally I'd like to get out of straight direct-service work and do more macro-level stuff, preferably in the realm of TEH GAY but not necessary.
2) If you could design a non-profit org (think Big Gay Job) from the ground up, what would it be like? I think at this point in my life I would like to design an agency that was specifically geared toward helping queer people (singles and couples) start and raise families - both by specifically helping queer people navigate the adoption world and by assisting individuals and couples with biological babymaking. And then some nice queer-friendly family counseling to round out the deal.
3) What do you think about quantitative age restrictions? Does it make sense to grant some rights to 18-year-olds but not 17-year-olds? I'm so torn about this, because it's really less about an age and more about a maturity level... but how do you quantify that and set a standard? It all seems so arbitrary. Likewise with 18 and 21. So basically, I think the concept is pretty much bogus but I don't know any other way to realistically do it.
4) To what single cause would you give a million dollars? Kaleidoscope Youth Coalition. They are my heart and soul.
5) Name one topic you will not write about on LJ, even friends-only. I don't know if there is one. I've touched on pretty much everything I can think of. I /do/ try to keep relationship difficulties out of the realm of
judecorp for the most part, but even that's not 100%. Oh, wait, I've got one! I will not write about when someone who has an LJ has pissed me off. Because that's just a recipe for high drama.
