Houseguests
Jul. 22nd, 2005 11:47 pmWe've been graced with the good company of
crena, Scott, and the twins. They stayed over last night and will be staying tonight because their previous Massachusetts lodging fell through. It has been so much fun having them here! I always get kind of weird when people are in my house because I feel like I'm not entertaining them enough, but it's nice to have company so I just have to suck it up and deal. We haven't had a lot of time together since I had to work all day and they came in kind of late last night (and were exhausted) but it's been nice hanging out and goofing off.
We went out to dinner tonight and I ate fish and chips, which I love. But ever since I started taking Metformin, fried food makes me super sick! Do I learn? Nooooo, I keep eating the fried food and keep getting sick. Dumb.
I can't believe Tayler and Tyler are EIGHT YEARS OLD. I think I met them when they were three, which is sheer craziness. They are so old and mature now. Tayler was reading me books and Tyler is writing little stories and stuff and they are just so grown up and cool. And they are such good kids in my house!
Case in point: Tyler wanted to take a bath in our bathtub with the ducks, and I told her she could use any duck but the Mr. T duck. And she totally left Mr. T off to the side and used the other ducks, even though I probably wouldn't have known! Also, Tayler asked Scott for a popsicle and he said he would think about it. Tayler whispered that he "probably means no" (such a kid thing to say!) and so I was trying to offer her a bit of my popsicle on the sly. Ane she refused, saying, "I can't, I'm not allowed to have it."
SUCH GOOD KIDS!! I just love them so much.

Tomorrow is the HelpLine cookout at George's Island. I hope we don't fry! I have to remember to pack all kinds of good stuff!
