I feel good today.

Jen and I talked and decided to use some of our "economic stimulus" money to become member-owners in our new local co-op market. It is important to me to support a fair market and as much local food as possible. I am excited about this. I didn't think it would be possible to be member-owners because it requires a chunk of change upfront, but we decided not to replace the kitchen floor and now there is some money to play with. Hooray!

I am also hoping to get into the backyard and spread the wildflower seeds we got a while back, provided I can find the dirt-churner-thinger and the hose.

Yay.

Don't. We're just broke and therefore had earmarked a lot of this (and tax return) money for necessary home repairs and stuff like that. You know, cause I haven't worked in 10 months and before that spent 6 months working part-time.

I hear ya. I go broke every other week, pretty much like clockwork. The only reason I have a little extra cash right now is A) stimulus check, and B) mom sent extra for tuition this semester. I should be saving it, but I like buying stuff so much!

That's awesome. I wish we had some place like that close to us. I guess the best I am going to do is the farmer's markets on the weekends :/
