Utterly horrifying. Clearly, you are eroding the fabric of society and threatening traditional marriages everywhere. I know my marriage to Brian got a lot worse on May 17, 2004.
[/sarcasm]

Seriously, it makes me sick when I think of the results from yesterday. How stupid can people be? Apparently, quite stupid :(

AHHH!! TEH GAY!!

I really am so confused to live in a country where you can elect a black man to the highest office in the land, but the terror of gay marriage is too much.

people are scared because they don't have the intelligence to appreciate that love comes in all forms. they are, also, highly likely to be threatened by the questioning of their own sexuality and the repression caused by religion and deeply engrained psycho-social elements of the whole "xtian" thing. if these people only knew how very many of their clergy were gay and not out for fear of persecution they'd shit themselves.

it makes me sad and angry.

my anglican priest father died because he was afraid to tell anyone he was sick because he had aids and EVERYONE knows it's the gay cancer... ::rolls eyes::

bottom line for me? i am so so sick of the judgment based out of fear and bigotry.

for the record, your family does nothing but ADD to mine. so fuck all those naysayers. they can bite me. or maybe not.

OMG unconditional love like that SHOULD be outlawed!!! I mean what would happen to america if couples raised their children lovingly and stayed together in healthy and committed relationship!!!

Ok and seriously you daughter is ADORABLE!!!!!!!!

Oh, crap! You live close enough that I might catch the gay from you!

What really baffles me about Prop 8 in CA is that clearly, thousands of people thought it was appropriate to fight discrimination on one side of their ballot and support it on the other.

FWIW, with the crappy civil rights news around the country, I'm even prouder to be a resident of (and legally married in) Massachusetts.

I know you really want my husband. I know that because you're gay. Oh wait. That's all wrong. Hmmm I wonder what "they" afraid of.

So stupid. They are so stupid.

I'm sitting in a hotel in Raleigh, NC, attending a conference (well, not right now, it's late.) and watching a lot of post-election media.

I'm astounded that Prop 8 failed. I'm disgusted that Prop 8 failed. Family is family, love is love. Het, homo, bi, even the (God help me) furries, whatever - doesn't matter.

I hope that, next time, people think with their brains instead of their bigotry.

I swear, I don't know about this place sometimes. Too many lunatics and homophobes in my immediate vicinity (Russians that have nothing better to do than to Bible thump all day in the library quad. Mormons running around all over the place. Et cetera).

i think it's so fucked up that they want to stop people from being together in a legal unified format. that's just really really sad :(

I think Gus is the most (deservedly so) photographed child in the US, aside from the Gosselin kids, who are really more filmed than photographed anyway.

People are stupid.

I went to Catholic schools. I heard my teachers and other students' parents rail against single parents with children and how single parents were eroding the family and doing such a disservice to the kids and kids need both a mother and a father blah blah blah.

My mom was dead. My dad was a single parent as a result. I would sit and quietly think (cuz I wasn't confrontational), "So, by your logic, because my mom died, the best thing for me would be for (a) my dad to quickly replace her and get me a substitute mom or (b) to rip me away from my one surviving parent and put me in a foster family or adoptive family of strangers so I can have two parents?" Of course, they didn't mean ME. They meant those people who were single parents by "their own choice". But what's the difference?

This just leads to my conclusion... people are stupid and don't think.

But I am really getting tired of the stupid people making decisions that affect our families. They terrify me. Not your family.

Let’s fight back on Proposition 8. Let’s boycott California wines, produce and travel. Let’s publicize it. Let’s embarrass them. It worked a few years ago in Colorado. What do say?

PS cute kid
