My apartment complex is so freaking bizarre. When I was driving out of the complex to go to work this morning, a man asked me to stop, so I did. He came toward my car and I rolled down the window. He handed me a Nutri-Grain bar and a bottle of juice. He said, "The apartment complex is giving all of the residents a free breakfast." I said, "For real?" He asked if I got the memo on my door, and I said no. (A. must have taken it.) I took my breakfast with a smile. Apparently it's for St. Patrick's Day or something.

How did they know I was hungry and left without breakfast?

My apartment complex does this too sometimes. I really wish they would give out bottles of Coke and Poptarts though.

You took food from a random man in your parking lot? Dude! Maybe I lived on the wrong side of the tracks for too long, but I probably wouldn't even have rolled my window down. I quit rolling down windows after the 3rd time I heard the "I need a dollar to catch the bus or I will get fired and I have a family at home and I am a veteran" story.

Well, I rolled down the window at first because he was standing near a big truck and I thought that maybe he wanted me to turn around and use another exit...

Before I even considered opening the food, I checked the other apartment complex exits to see if people were giving out food. And besides, they were all apartment complex employees. They wore shirts.
