More dreams

Had another bizarro dream this morning. In this one, we were getting ready to go to Easter dinner at my uncle's, but for some reason we were staying at my grandparents' house. Which was also some sort of a school. Like, a dorm. And so we were trying to come up with activities for these pre-teen girls and one of them told me she had a contagious kidney infection. And then there was a huge snowstorm and Jen was driving my dad's plow truck. And for some reason Wiley and Jenn needed us to take care of their kids (yes, kids - there was Hannah and then a 6-month old baby boy) for the weekend (no clue where they were going) and my big concern was whether or not I could fit two car seats and folkyboy in the backseat! (He's coming to Easter dinner with us, you see.)

This is sheer insanity. I don't usually have dreams that I remember, probably because I don't usually drift in and out of sleep. But the last couple of mornings, after I wake up around 6 I've been trying to catch a few extra minutes until Jen's out of the shower. All I've succeeded in doing is making weird dreams!

Watch out, Wiley and Jenn, you might be expecting another baby! :)

Boogies and Interns

Lefty Tonsil was a little sore today but doesn't appear swollen. Here's hoping it's just a fluke. I am so tired of being surrounded by sick kids, their germs, and their bodily fluids. Today in playgroup I actually had a 2-year-old dig a booger out of his nose, show it to me on his finger, and say, "Look at my boogie!" On Tuesday, he was telling a co-teacher and I all about how he likes to eat boogies because they are yummy.

Man, kids are GROSS!

I had a really good advocacy moment at work today. Too bad it wasn't for one of my clients. I supervise an undergraduate intern who observes 2 playgroups (mine and a coworker's). I don't have a problem with her but my coworker REALLY does. And today she made a couple of majorly inappropriate comments about my intern to me. They bothered me, so I actually sucked it up and left her a voicemail calling her on her unprofessionalism and lack of respect. And she called me back and agreed with me!

Sometimes being a grownup kind of rocks.
