Had another bizarro dream this morning. In this one, we were getting ready to go to Easter dinner at my uncle's, but for some reason we were staying at my grandparents' house. Which was also some sort of a school. Like, a dorm. And so we were trying to come up with activities for these pre-teen girls and one of them told me she had a contagious kidney infection. And then there was a huge snowstorm and Jen was driving my dad's plow truck. And for some reason Wiley and Jenn needed us to take care of their kids (yes, kids - there was Hannah and then a 6-month old baby boy) for the weekend (no clue where they were going) and my big concern was whether or not I could fit two car seats and [livejournal.com profile] folkyboy in the backseat! (He's coming to Easter dinner with us, you see.)

This is sheer insanity. I don't usually have dreams that I remember, probably because I don't usually drift in and out of sleep. But the last couple of mornings, after I wake up around 6 I've been trying to catch a few extra minutes until Jen's out of the shower. All I've succeeded in doing is making weird dreams!

Watch out, Wiley and Jenn, you might be expecting another baby! :)

I've been meaning to write a long post about how I have a knack for dream interpretation, and my views on doing so....I don't think of them as meaning things, more like the unconscious trying to work things out, just in a weird way. Ask J, he had a couple weird ones recently and they were obviously clear to me. :)

The idea I'm getting is that you're thinking about missing family activities you used to do in the past. Lots of family symbols popping up there: a family dinner, staying with grandparents. The dorm thing? Did you live in a dorm in college? Sometimes that's your mind remembering being younger. The rest is all about sorting out RL worries. Are you worrying about you getting sick after you have a baby? Are you worrying about something happening to Jen? Are you worried that you won't be able to fit in time with your friends?

I don't feel like I've been worrying any more than usual, about anything in particular. I know why Easter Dinner came up - because I keep getting e-mails from my neurotic aunt about things like what kind of soda everyone needs to drink!

I suppose it's possible that I'm thinking all of these things subconsciously, but right now in my conscious mind, I don't really feel like I'm missing out on family stuff. We've actually had way MORE family stuff in the past year than we've had in a long time.

But hey, it's worth thinking about. I just think it's weird that I've had bizarro dreams 3 mornings in a row.

I remember having really vivid dreams when we did IVF in Jan.
The trigger is filled with the pregnancy hormone. My best friend told me she had the most vivid dreams when she was PG.
I think you're pregnant, or the hormones are causing this.
Just my theory...

I was thinking that it was probably the trigger shot but I don't know why I didn't have the dreams in the first couple of days after the shot - like during my Peak and stuff.

I know that I also don't usually drift back to sleep and doze in the mornings, so that's something new. It could be that I just keep drifting off and popping up in the middle of REM sleep instead of waking up leisurely on my own.

But it would be groovy if it was all because I was pg!

I go for the official blood test a week from tomorrow. I will probably try a couple of home pregnancy tests before then, though. :)

If it makes you feel better, I didn't know a lot of this stuff until I started reading a ton of books on the subject. If you're interested in such things, I highly recommend Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler. It basically tells you everything you need to know to prevent pregnancy without birth control devices... or to plan pregnancy more effectively.

I find the whole thing fascinating, because I'm a big mad scientist nerd. I thought you could appreciate that.
