Mom update:

In the course of the weekend, my Mommy has met: kieron, pattisimmons, pattisimmons's mom, scottsimmons, lemur68, chutup, doulamel, osuptygal, 356dreamer, ottercat (with Dana and V-something), mayna, my old boss Jeff, whod81, whod81's mom, wasted_breath, prettyvacantone, and crushinator.

In the course of the weekend, my Mommy has gone to: the Short North Tavern, Cap City Diner, Patti's Pampered Chef Show, Holiday Hop, the Spaghetti Warehouse, El Vaquero, Buca de Beppo, and Sean and Bart's house to watch The Sopranos. (Sheesh! It seems like all we did was eat!) She also watched Good Will Hunting while Jennifer and I did laundry, and fell asleep while Jen and I put up the Christmas Tree.

The Mom and Jen thing seems to be going great. I'm really excited about that. (*phew*) And the whole Date Night with the Moms was great, too! Maybe tomorrow before her flight I can take her somewhere that isn't a restaurant. Heh. Maybe. I have a slacker effect on my Mom. She slept later than she ever has in her life this morning.

Oh, and when I went to feed the cats this morning, I found that Ralph had knocked the tree over. It was all over the kitchen and living room, and the tree and a good chunk of the ornaments are now broken. [sarcasm] Yay. [/sarcasm]

Yay! Thanks for letting us invade your house. I know she would have been sad if she had to wait to watch The Sopranos and everyone would be saying, "Did you see it? Did you see it?"

Besides, she thinks I'm crazy every time I say, "We have to go do [blah]. [So and so] wants to meet you!" (Mom: Why does Brandie Naked want to meet me? What have you told her about me?)

Did you tell her that it's only fair that we swap Moms? After all, if my mom is in love with you, I want to be in love with your mom. (I figure I'm not exactly the best at making good impressions..so she's probably not in love with me..heh).

She commented later that it was nice to be known as "Jude's Mom." I think it lets her know how much I'm loved.

She is still trying to think of who you remind her of. She says that she will probably remember at work tomorrow. I told her that she had to meet you because I was in love with your Mom. I think she thinks I keep trying to set her up with girls!

Right after they got married, my parent's basset hound Lucy ate half of the Christmas tree in their tiny apartment in DC. She was fine except she had sparkling poops for a few days. hee.

A friend of mine in junior high school had a cat who would eat those tinsel strands. Every so often the cat would walk by with a big strand of silver plastic hanging out of his butt!

What is it with you, my parents, and hugging? :)

She asked me earlier this morning if you were normally so quiet, or if you were just nervous. I think she was scared that I was dating another person who is somewhat antisocial. I reassured her that you are obnoxious and funny and crazy, but that your sense of humor is quite sarcastic and that one tends to tone that sort of thing down around people one has just met. She agreed, but then said, "Good, because if she's always that quiet she wouldn't last in our family."

My schedule looks like this:

Tomorrow: Work until 9.
Thursday: Date Night.
Friday: Holiday shopping.
Saturday: More holiday shopping. Then Jen's work's party. Then my work's party.
Sunday: Cocoa at Carina's. Then Dianna's party.
Monday: Work until 9.
Tuesday: I dunno.
Wednesday: Work until 9.
Thursday: Date Night.
Friday: Date with Jen.
Saturday: Head to RI.
