The AIDS Walk was a great big pool of fun! The weather was really ick yesterday, so I was nervous about what today would look like, but it was perfect: just about 70, sunny, not too humid. Wonderful. We met up with [livejournal.com profile] laserkitty, [livejournal.com profile] osuptygal, [livejournal.com profile] upsoclose and her Scott - all people I don't get to spend much time with, which was nice. I also saw [livejournal.com profile] vorpalbla, Patience and Erica, [livejournal.com profile] jonathanboland, Anne, Beck Gurney, and this boy whose name I can never remember. I ended up getting all kinds of goofy incentives (tshirt, frisbee, travel mug, binoculars) because I raised, get this, $915! I can't believe it! I have awesome friends and family members and coworkers. I will definitely bring the travel mug to work. Anyone want a frisbee? I was going to give mine to Teresa, but she got one, too. I still have my blue frisbee from Pride last year.

I think Jen and I made Teresa a little uncomfortable and feeling like a third wheel, and I feel really bad about that. Sorry, T. :(

Jen and I ended up walking back home, so we had an extra-long walk, which is good. I'm surprised I still feel good, though. I've been pretty sick all weekend, especially Friday and yesterday. (Of course. Bleh!) We went to Jen's work dinner yesterday and I almost fell asleep on her boss's sofa. We never made it to Carina's bachelorette party. :( I currently have a "husky lesbian voice," too. I should call [livejournal.com profile] happy2beso.

These thoughts have nothing coherent to them, and nothing linking them together. I spent too much money this weekend... junk food, new clothes, new shoes, dinner, and I broke down and got a new litterbox for the beasts. I got the "extra giant" size, because, well, that's the kind of cat I have. Ha! And I ordered "Lucky" by Fifteen on half.com and got it for $5... and I got a brand new, sealed, Frogpond CD for $0.75! Woot!

Oh yeah! Jen and I are going to Missouri over Memorial Day weekend for [livejournal.com profile] smurfbrother's birthday. YAAAAAAAY!

Ooooh, as long as you're calling around with that husky, lesbian voice...mind dialing me up? ;-P~

Get better!

Ha! I'd forgotten until now that my brother and I had joked that you and I would spend the whole AIDS Walk talking about loose poop.

And we DID!!

If the frisbee is still available, I'll take it.

Would have loved to hear your husky lesbian voice. :)

The reason I called twice is because my phone dropped signal right before I got your voicemail the first time, and I wanted to leave you a message. :)

Yay for the AIDS walk! You prolly saw my wife there too - but alas, you wouldn't have acknowleged her....BECAUSE YOU THINK SHE'S AN APPARITION!

(And...by the way...I can't BELIEVE that you left the game early on Friday - you missed the parade of Mullets right after the game.)

When're we gonna have coffee - so you can see my wife in the flesh? Er...you know what i mean.

Woo, naked wife!! (Yeah right, she doesn't exist, I know it's true!) Umm... we can do coffee anytime. Except tonight, unless you want the plague. I'm at that "hack the illness up" stage - doesn't that sound delicious?

Dude, tell me about this PARADE OF MULLETS!!??!??!

Hmm - we'll have to see what the near-weekends look like...since she works in the evenings!

The plague doesn't sound nice, though I do have to admit I'm always a sucker for a throaty lesbian voice!

Saw the "real lesbians" there - AKA: our auto mechanics. That was fun.

The parade of mullets - I swear to you - I'd seen mullets all night and made fun of the intermitently...but when the game was over and all of the die-hard Clippers fans left.....it was as though they'd all congregated together and then flushed out the system. Mullets GALORE, I tell you.

Even baby mullets. Mini-mullets. Families of mullets. I thought I'd seen them all - but they'd just been sending a few out into the system. The game ended and they all swarmed.

It was like my own hairstyle was under attack.

But I held my own.
