So yesterday I didn't get any sleep, because we didn't get back from Kinko's until after 4am, and then I was wired, so I probably drifted off around 6am. And the alarm went off at 8 so Jen could go to work. I'm not very good at falling back asleep.

I was tired all day, but I didn't think much of it. I was going to take a nap, but Bucky called and wanted me to come volunteer with him, so I walked over there instead. When I got back from there, my knees were on fire. I figured it was the combination of the weather and the lack of sleep - both things are really hell on my knees. But by the time Jen and I were headed to the car dealership, my throat started to hurt. Great.

I fell asleep last night around 11:30pm and slept until 3am, when I woke up for no good reason, and was unable to fall back asleep. So when the alarm went off at 8am, my knees were still in agony, along with my right ankle. I /never/ wake up in pain. Sleep is the cure-all. Ugh. So I took a bunch of Advil and drove her to work, and went to get my TB-free card, and came back to take a nap.

Except that I can't sleep in the daytime. I'm going to keep trying, though, because I have to babysit at 6:30. My brain is trying to psych me out from sleeping by reminding me about the post office and the laundry and all of that.

So far, though, my knees are still holding out since the Advil at 8am. Thank goodness for that.

And I'm feeling guilty, because the one car Jen /really/ likes only comes with leather seats. And I have a HUGE problem with leather - the feel of it bugs me, and the smell makes me want to vomit. So now I'm screwing with her car-buying plan. Bleh.

Oh hun, don't worry about that. The seats aren't the only reason she'd be unlikely to get that car. And you're a loving couple, and loving includes compromising. :) I'm sure she'll find something just as nice without leather. I can buy her a Yankee Candle car freshener scented like leather anyway, that she can keep in there when you're not in there, and a "Hot Secksy Cara" air freshener for when you are in the car.

Hey, if you are too sick to babysit, just let me know. Scott and I can do a date night another time, or try and find another sitter.

I want you to be well!

I would feel so bad if you and Scott didn't get to go on your date! I should be okay as long as the girls don't run all over me.

SAY NO MORE!

If you are sick, don't come, really. It's more important to me that you get better than for us to go on a date while you suffer.

I don't have any. But aren't all sleep aids really just decongestant stuff like Benadryl? Because I have adverse drug reactions to that stuff.

oh, really? well, yes, tylenol pm is the same stuff as benadryl but i don't know if they ALL are the same. maybe call a pharmacy? or could you sleep with earplugs in?

It's the daylight, actually. I suppose I could get one of those face masks that old ladies wear in movies...

My circadian rhythm just DOES NOT want to sleep in the daytime.

but you would look CUTE in a little sleepytime facemask! :)

no, more like a plain purple satiny one with screenprinted eyelids-closed-with-eyelashes graphic on it.

Seat covers?

We were talking about that. I suppose if she /really/ wants to get that car, that's what I would have to do. And hope it doesn't smell.

I thought I was the only one who was bothered by leather car interiors ... and new car scent makes me want to throw up too.

Same here too.

'New car smell' is sent from the devil. Ew!

Ugh. I /hate/ 'new car smell.' Gross.

I meant what I said about the car....and the seats. We can talk more about it in person if you want....but if I can't find a solution that works for both of us, then why buy it? (considering that it might be too expensive to begin with as well).

I hope you feel better. You may want to put the A/C back on if you haven't already, cover the window with a painting and try to sleep anyway. (In the bedroom that is...)

By the way...if I ever ended up with a car with leather seats I would at least buy YOU a seat cover and get an air freshener that removed the leather smell...I don't crave the leather smell either;)

P.S. Don't worry about the laundry at least...rest ....I will take care of it when I get home. And if I have a car of some sort tomorrow I will do the post office run as well.

I love you Jude....

I'm not sweet I am just smart...

If I buy that car, I would make it comfortable for you as well, because you are important to me. I would make it smell not leather or new car smell and I would get seat covers, yours definitely to start.....

If I don't buy that car it's all moot anyways;)
