Okay, so I have been applying for my required one job per week for unemployment. And I got a call this afternoon. Ugh! These are getting tricky to ignore! I might call this one back for more information, though. Hrm. But thankfully I didn't answer the phone because I was at my Usability Study for Victoria's Secret!

Oh my gosh, the woman responsible for running the study was totally a lesbian and she was totally into my junk. She kept telling me all about herself, and about how great I was, with her little thumb ring flashing all over the place. Ha ha ha - her eyes kept finding my necklace. And she was stumbling all over her words, even though it's her JOB to do this presentation /and/ she had a script! And I think she shook my hand 5 times, and kept telling me "it was so good to meet me." We didn't meet - I was doing a study!! *giggle* And then, when she gave me my $100 gift certificate to VS (actually, I think I'll use it and buy something goofy and girly), she was like, "So, there's a gift certificate for you - are you going to be able to use it?" She sounded very concerned about my little boy self (even though I was wearing the Goodwill flowered shirt, even - with boobs!!) I threw a wink over my shoulder and said, "Oh, I'm sure I can find something randy." I'm insufferable, I swear it. I think I gave the old lady heart palpitations.

I rule.

(And I miss my girl, who is getting hit on left and right in San Diego. Because she is SO HOTT!!)

Apparently Victoria's Secret is redoing their website, so they hired a company to hold a usability study (to see how easy it is to use). I've done a study like this before, for AOL music, and I know a "study recruiter" who finds studies for me. (The AOL one paid me $50. No joke! For ONE HOUR.)

So yeah, since The Limited (which owns VS) is located in C-bus, I guess we get the benefit of the study. Woot. Cha-ching!

I used to be in various focus groups or whatever the hell they're called when I lived at home. Reviewed commercials and ads for various skin care products and stuff. $70 each hour. That was fun in high school.

It was a study to test the usability of Victoria's Secret's new prototype website. So for an hour I looked at the pretend webpage and answered a bunch of questions while pretending to buy clothes.

Not bad for $100. =P

Well, err, I'm not really the kind of person that "puts clothes on to take them off" if you know what I mean. I wear really utilitarian stuff, no fancy underthings. I would feel SO WEIRD, putting on stuff that accent parts of my body that make me gender uncomfortable.

We'll see. :)

I originally saw about this particular study from starzz, but there is a woman (Laurie Mohler) who recruits people for studies. I did one through her last year for AOL and they paid me $50 in traveller's checks. It's GREAT!

Sadly, this is a one-day study and it's all done. BUT, if I hear about any more, I'll be sure to put up info!

Thank you for the compliment! I'm really not a jealous person at all. I feel like if she didn't want to be with me, she'd leave - but baby, I'm who she's coming home to. :)

As for the lack of drama, oh, we have drama - but it's private drama when we're working things out together. We're not terribly active in the community here, which helps, I think. And, well, we don't have a lot of exes here (and don't have a lot of exes, period), so I think that helps, too.

You and Geanna seem low on the drama, too. Whoo!

VS is making a new website, and they want people to test it out and see if it's user friendly, easy to understand, visually appealing, that sort of thing.
