Also you can go online (if you've not done so already) and kelly blue book has a site and you can look up your car and put in some of the stuff it has like a/c cd player, etc and what condition it's in and it will list an approximate value for you.

I've used it frequently when buying a used car to make sure I'm getting a fair price. Good luck.

Good luck w/packing and moving and testing, etc, too. I hate moving, but saw the pix, apt looks gorgeous!!

Yeah, I know the Blue Book value of my car. The problem is getting someone to actually pay the value. It seems like either everyone is broke or else looking for a new car. Augh!

Good luck!

I should know by the end of the week if I'm staying in Columbus, in which case I want those bookshelves Jen mentioned and the futon, depending on the prices. Also maybe maybe maybe your car. Can you send me the info?

We can talk all about it at coffee this evening. :)

I'll help with moving on this end.... Aaaand, do you need a decent Washer/Dryer for the place here? I have a set I'm selling for a friend.

Thanks for the help, and nope, we don't need a washer/dryer. The new apartment already comes with one. (!!!) That's why we need to sell ours - otherwise we'd have brought them.

Bucky emailed me and said while he couldn't buy the painting her will come on tuesday morning to help us pack the truck.

Joe has said he will come and help pack the truck.

Eric emailed me and said if he was able to get into town and was not otherwise engaged by his legal issues, he would come and help...

If we can get a few more on the Columbus end I will feel more at ease in case Eric and others can't help or forget or whatever...

On the Boston end, aside from Wiley, Hoo commented that as long as he was in town at the time, he would help and bring a dolly. Just have to double check with everyone else that week I guess...

I tried to con Angie into it, but I don't think she was buying it. So it might be you, me, Bucky, and Joe. We will work it out.

Bleh.

Love you.

I am considering the wardrobes. Are they way way out of my price range?

Well, what's your price range? ;) We're flexible for PANTS.

I've got $200 to spend. For some reason I am thinking that they are solid wood- and if so you should definitely sell them for an arm and a leg- while I do have my husbands right arm, he is holding out on the leg...

I think Jen wanted $300 for the two of them. Or was it $300 each? I forget. You'd have to ask her before I get in trouble with bogus information. :)

No problem, she emailed me and straightened me out.

Also, I can donate my services to help pack, or with other stuff if you need. Let me know.

Oooh, you'll have to come over one evening and chat with us while we pack. That would be fun!

Ok! How about next Tuesday?

Jen volunteers on Tuesday, but I will be home packing away! Feel free to come by. (Sans children, though, I think they would be bored stiff.)

I forgot to ask him. :( How much did you want for them again?

Date: 2004-05-13 02:24 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] judecorp.livejournal.com
Ideally I would like $600 for the two of them with the warranty, but I would come down for you. :)

We talked about it and the most we were looking to spend was about 400$. However, my parents were thinking of getting a new W&D set and giving/selling us their old one, so I'll talk to them tomorrow and see if they're interested. What kind of washer & dryer are they?

Date: 2004-05-14 03:54 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] judecorp.livejournal.com
Our washing machine is a lot like this one (http://products.geappliances.com/ProdContent/Dispatcher). It has three temperatures (hot, warm, cold), about 9-10 speeds, and three load sizes (small, large, extra large).

Our dryer is a lot like this one (http://products.geappliances.com/ProdContent/Dispatcher). It has several temperatures and several dryer settings. It is an electric dryer.

I say "a lot like" because the pictures don't look exactly like ours but the specs are the same, so maybe the website has slightly adjusted models or something. The washer and dryer were also purchased with a 3-year Best Buy warranty, wherein Best Buy will send someone to your house to replace/fix anything - it expires July 1, 2006.

I paid $742 for the washer, dryer, and warranty. Judging by the website, they went up in price a little. (Or we got them on sale.) They have been used for 10 months at a rate of about 2 loads/week.
