My weather extension for FireFox has a new picture for today. It's a little thermometer and it's BRIGHT RED with red lines rising off of it.

Dang, I guess it's going to be even hotter than it's ever been, because I've never seen that picture before!

YIKES!

I'm okay with heat for the most part, but it sure did surprise me!

Lately, it's not the heat I'm revolting against, it's the humidity... I do have the exact genetic makeup of my grandmother though. So it's expected.

Yeah, humidity can be a total killer. If you're in it all the time you kind of get used to it, but ugh. So suffocating.

I am so unexcited by that. Because, not only did the last HUGE lightening storm fuck up the color on my monitor and my TV (Fenway Park now appears blue with green players), but blew my air conditioner, too. This sucks.

Oh no!

Come over this evening and enjoy some central air. :)

I hate using it but right now I am LOVING IT.

I actually just worked some re-circuiting magic and FIXED IT! I love it. Otherwise, I'd totally take you up on your offer :)

They added the flaming thermometer in the latest upgrade, and I saw it once before, a couple weeks ago. It means "Holy shit! If you go out, you're going to frickin melt!"

ForcastFox is the BEST. :)

Yet another day (about the 15th or 20th time this summer) that it's been up over 95 here on the lovely SE side of Columbus. Not so bad when it's been a dry heat, which it had been most of July. But lately we've had the humidity with the heat, and that's just narsty. But today isn't terribly humid (dewpoint of about 64F), but it's not like the dry heat days, either. And we've got storms creeping in. Marion is getting hammered right now.

I really miss the storms in Ohio. We just don't get those powerful storms like you guys get. I miss the blackening skies, the roaring thunder, the cracks of lightning, the hail... those were some good storms.

Sorry you've had such a tough summer, though. Here it's just been painfully dry. No real rain to speak of... we get the promises of rain, heavy downpours that last all of 5 minutes.

Well, we've had the drought with the teases of rain/storms, as well. We've had maybe an inch and a half of rain since Memorial Day in Columbus. On the other hand, Findlay has had about 10 inches of rain, if not more, in the same span. The grass outside of my window is just about all brown. The only green grass is the crabgrass, and we've got weeds/prairie wildflowers coming up, too. Or so it seems.

Yeah, my grandfather's grass was all brown and dead. It was quite sad. Although we did have a lot of rain last night (it seems like) and it was on/off rainy today, so maybe there's hope.

We did have a brief shower either Saturday night or Sunday night (I think Sunday), but that's not done much for our drought. It's amazing. We'll sit there and watch the radar channel, and the showers just disappear as they hit downtown Columbus. My one roommate and I have taken to calling downtown the "black hole of suck" for the way the rain just disappears when it gets there.

All other plugins pale by comparison to the usefulness of the Abe Vigoda Status plugin :

Which would scare me a lot if it caught fire.
