Deciding to put the flannel sheets on the bed last night was one of the best things that Jen and I have done in a while. So cozy, had to go to bed right away. Nice.

It is quite cold in the house but I refuse to put the heat on. I am just not ready for cold weather and heating bills! *stomp stomp* I've heard it might be 70 degrees or so next week, so I'm holding out for that. At least that's what I'm telling myself.

p.s. Happy birthday, [livejournal.com profile] eeka13!

Aw! Thanks!

:o)

Hey, meant to tell you...I LOVE your "they poison my coffee" icon. This is me many mornings. Where'd you get it?

I thought of you today when my boss told me to call IT about something.

It's from Exploding Dog. I got it in the [livejournal.com profile] edogicons community.

Woohoo! People equate me with IT... ;o)

So, did you call them? Were they ever-so-helpful?

HA! I did call them, but only because my boss made me. I talked to Andy, who admitted isn't as jackassy as that woman we all hate in my office, but he /did/ try to explain to me what a network cable looked like, and continued to do so even after I told him, "I have a home network and I understand the hardware."

Finally I got off the phone with him and told him I would fix it myself. Heh.

Did you have a nice birthday? I should have known you were a Libra. All of my favorite people are Libras.

Well, I worked at the office from 9-5, then saw private practice clients from 6-10. Sooooo... ;o)

But, this weekend some friend and I are painting my living room purple and then going for beers. So that'll make up for it!

Thanks so much for your well wishes! Libras are good people. When's your birthday?

Oh, BTW, my partner, Molly, is April 13. Isn't that cool? My immediate family are all 2 weeks apart...28th, 13th, 28th, 13th, with me being the last 13. Imagine me being like 4 and being all excited 2 months in advance and wanting to plan my party...and my family telling me that I had to wait until everyone else's were over. Mmhmm.

Andy is a very nice person, but he's SOOOO by the book. He has one way of explaining how to carry out X task, and he's going to explain it to his staff the same way he'd explain it to the moron I share an office with who couldn't find her way out of a paper bag with a blowtorch.

I have to say though...IT has been very kind in bringing me new monitors after I spray coffee at the screen and short it out. I'm on my 5th now.

You're lucky! For the longest time we had the crappiest computer equipment ever because we don't have our own computers. We had two old computers in a room and we all shared them to do our work. It's so weird not having a computer to myself! (Though I suppose I get more work done that way.)

We have recently gotten some newer computers and it really is quite lovely. But I want more More MORE!!

I want to see your purple living room. It sounds cool!

p.s. Look for a picture of me and my Smoochie in the new BC Insider!

Flannel sheets are such a good thing. We've had the flannel sheets out for a month now, but then, we will use them without any blankets or with just a lightweight blanket to deal with Halleyscomet radiating heat and my being too cold.

Our flannel sheets are sage green and covered in sheep. Yep. Not a typo. SHEEP. BAhhhhhh

Woah, sheep sheets! Ours are just offwhite. We had several sets of flannel sheets for our old bed, but now we have a king and just have the one pair. Poop.

i, too, refuse to put the heat on. i'm not ready for it yet. so i just heaped on the blankets and stole the kitties' body heat.

Yeah, we put the extra blanket on the bed last night, too. Even when we DO heat the house, we usually leave it pretty low at night so we definitely need the down comforter.

I am SO not ready for winter to come.

I haven't put the heat up yet either. I just am not ready for winter. I think I might have to soon, my girlfriend went to bed last night with flannel pajamas, a sweatshirt, socks, a knit hat, and two down comforters. I don't want people to think I mean to her or something.

It's all because you have that internal heater thing going. ;)

It was definitely time to put on the flannel sheets and the down blanket. The heat is coming, but with oil prices being what they are, I don't want to start if I don't have to. Right now we're right at that edge - hopefully if it stops being so rainy and raw we can delay a couple of days. Yuck!
