judecorp | A quick little update

Christmas Eve was a whirlwind of activity, from cleaning the house to eating dinner with Jennifer to exchanging gifts to packing and getting ready for our trip. Everything was a rush, but the cutest rush of all was Jennifer's complete inability to wait at all for the gift opening. She is such a little kid, not wanting to have dinner or anything, just head right to the presents. Everything was a huge hit and I /finally/ scored a Survivor buff - I've only been asking for one for about 3 years now. It is TEH AWESOME and just for thinking that, I am TEH NYERD.

We arrived in Florida without incident and enjoyed our first JetBlue experience. The weather here has been lovely, 70s and sunny, and this morning we went for a swim in the pool even though it was too cold for such things. (I'm in Florida, dammit! I require swimming.) It was a little surreal to float in the pool and look toward the house and see the Christmas tree. Hello, weird. I require a little FREEZING with my holidays. Tomorrow we're off to Busch Gardens with Jen's brother and his wife.

The best holiday gift I could have ever asked for was a little time away and a chance to fall madly in love with my wife again. Things in Boston are so rushed and broken and harried and crazy and manic and there is just never enough time for those little niceties and subleties that make us so amazing. Right now, there is So. Much. Time. I am so very thankful.

It's all handholding and loveyous all the time this week. So awesome. SO awesome. She is still the most beautiful girl in the world, oh yes. Lovelovelovelove.
