Oh my gosh, I can hardly stop laughing right now at the irony of it all.

Remember that dream job I applied for that I knew I would never get - the one for Director of the Stonewall Center at UMASS Amherst? (Yes, it would have been so perfect to have the Big Gay Job in the Big Gay Valley, le sigh.) Well, guess who got the job?

MY OLD FREAKING BOSS AT GLBTSS (Brett). My boss at OSU. My freaking boss at my big gay job at freaking OSU. Craziness. Peas gave me the heads up.

I dropped off a quick e-mail to offer my congratulations, welcome hir to Massachusetts, and offer advice on the area. And mentioned that I enjoyed working with hir and was proud of hir. BECAUSE I AM NOT ABOVE BEGGING FOR A JOB IF SIE WRITES BACK TO ME, THAT'S WHY!

I slay myself with my Big Gay Desperation.

Yes, I remember the pic on the fridge (and am still scarred by it, thank you very much!) - I can't believe you pointed it out to me that day... along with all of those freaking Star Trek videos! YIKES!!!

This queer universe is sheer craziness. To think that all roads meet in Columbus - I'm really starting to believe that's true.

i figured you were busy, etc. don't stress--we're currently most freaked out about having NOTHING ready at home for an impending baby. we've still got 3 months, give or take, but considering how quickly the last 6 have gone, we fear that the baby's room is going to perpetually be hope's office/catch all for crap.

The current plan, barring competing circumstances, is to say "eff it" and just buy a house out there when my dad's house sells... then try to support our homeowning asses.

Not the best plan, but hey - we're young and foolish.
