After a quick trip to the house to throw out the last of the stuff, we spent some QT with the grandparents and caught the end of Cinderella Man, then went out to dinner. Instead of heading home, we spent several hours soaking in [livejournal.com profile] skreeky's pool with [livejournal.com profile] whuffle and [livejournal.com profile] halleyscomet. Good times were had by all, especially all of the pool floaties, because I made a point to sit on all of them. Each and every one.

I could float around in a pool for a million hours, I think. No problem. I need a pool.

If I had a pool I would totally go float in it every day. And you could come over whenever you wanted.

I would love a pool. We have the perfect deck for it. But, it's not something I'd buy for rental property, they are too hard to move.

Someday when I'm rich and I own a house, I will get a pool! And a pony! (Okay, maybe not, but it would be nice if the house had a pool.)

I've always wanted a pool. And now that I'm living in a dorm with a gym and a pool, the pool is for some reason closed and dry! Noooooooooo!

I love floating around on my back and just letting my mind wander. Yum.

Noooooooo, how can the pool be closed? But that's cool that you have a pool in your freaking dorm! Maybe they will open it in the fall?

d00d. When I was a Hall Director in Missouri, one of the buildings I worked in was called "Freddy." It was a U-shaped building and housed over 800 students.

In the actual U was an olympic-sized swimming pool that had a very unfortunate crack in its foundation. It was the FIRST olympic-sized swimming pool, west of the Mississippi. It hadn't been used for a good 5 years - but you can imagine with four floors and 400-people looking RIGHT into the pool area, it had once been the hotspot of activity.

I just went to look and check on it and found out that they're in the process of tearing the whole thing out. In its place will be a nice court-yard...but in the pictures you can tell how enormous it was. Too cool.

Wow, that would have been awesome to have an olympic-sized pool in your dorm courtyard. Seriously, I would have LOVED that. Awesome!

I don't know why it's closed! They probably will reopen it in fall, but then it'll probably be pretty busy, especially cause our swim teams practice for hours a day and when they do I'm guessing the pool is off-limits.

I would be the happiest girl in the world if I had a pool...and a dishwasher. I'd load the dishes and go out for a swim.

Serioulsy, floating around a pool is the life.

I have a dishwasher. Now, I love my dishwasher, but you can't go swimming in it. I'd prefer a pool. :)

But maybe I just think that way because it's summer time.

Come to Ohio.
We can go to the House of Parents and float until your LEGS are shrivled up

That sounds lovely. Too bad it's a really long drive to do a little floating. Perhaps you can come on by and I'll take you to the ocean. :)
