If I hadn't lost a ton of weight, I don't know if I'd even know I was knocked up by this point. But I'd gotten that bad boy pretty much flat by my birthday (aside from the inch I would pinch to do injections). Aah well, it's for a good cause.

Also notably sexy - the fact that I'm losing my waist and the pooch that's building above as things move northward. Good times, people.

Yeah, it's been a rough, rocky road. Especially for Jen, because she's been spending so much time trying to be present for me and I don't know how well I've been present for her. :(

We are trying to hang in, and keep it together for our little baby that's hanging in there. If the bleeding and spotting would spontaneously stop, I would not complain. At all. But it HAS gotten a lot lighter, and I am glad for that. It picks up a little bit whenever I use the doppler - I wonder if the sound waves knock some dried blood out when I use it.

Also, I love ham. But only a big baked ham, like at easter. Not deli ham or anything nasty like that.

With my son, I was pg in 2001; it was right after sept. 11th and i had gotten laid off because of that. so i had a lot of time on my hands. we'd just hotten hitched, too, and we had a receptiony thing, and my mom-in-law made 3 hams. they had to sit on a separate buffet table from the catered food for liability reasons, but as a result, nobody saw or ate them. it took me like 4 days to finish them off.

and then in oct. we went to las vegas & the breakfast buffet is unbelievably delicious. it was a 12 day all-you-can-eat hamstravaganza & then we'd hit nickel slots afterwards to make back breakfast money.

I'm ignoring that part about being on pelvic rest because i just can't even imagine. NO, I can't. You poor thing.

At my last IUI on 10-11, I was 151. The last time I went to my midwife (last Wednesday?), I was 148. I hadn't dipped under 150 since high school. Yet I continue to look like a flabalanche!

My cute pants that I bought in the months before we got knocked up are 10s and 12s. I can wear those if I don't button or zip them (classy) and I have a pair of low-rise 14s that I can button just fine but it's uncomfortable when I sit. My fat pants (mostly men's 36s) are super comfy but when I stand up, they are so big and baggy they look ridiculous.

Basically, unbottoned/zipped pants with belly bands over are my new best friends.

I kept losing weight when I was pregnant with Mabry. But my tummy was GIANORMOUS! Still, the day after I had her, they weighed me... and I was (are you sitting down???) thirty pounds lighter than when I got pregnant. How does THAT happen?!?! The nurse was in shock. I was 202 when I got pregnant (I know... so sad), then 212 when I was nine months along... then 172 the day after having her!!

Well, thankfully I don't have a history of loss (other than the twin) as this is my first pregnancy, and I was only put on pelvic rest because of unexplained bleeding. But I am definitely nervous about it and we will do what feels right.
