May. 10th, 2007 09:23 amNot the most flattering photo by a long shot. It seems like all of the photos catch me off-guard because Jen tends to accidentally hit the power button instead of the shutter button, shutting the camera off. Then it's a mystery when the photo will be taken! (I think I had a good smile going before the camera shut down.)
Either way, things are getting pretty big up in there. It is hard to believe that most of the world who is as far along as I am is actually /bigger/, because I think the gut is getting pretty big.

Not only did Morgan and I walk 20 minutes in the rain on the way to my car (gotta love that rained-on hair!) leaving me to look like a frumpy hausfrau, but Jen INSISTS on taking all of the pictures while I am standing and she is sitting on the couch.
Anyone can tell you that picture from below = instant double chin. Must be why I'm sporting that cheesy smile.
But the belly, it is taking on a life of it's own. I used to be sort of generically round but now it has a distinct shape. And sides. And it moves.
I love this shirt, btw. It is the most comfortable thing imaginable. I even slept in it last night after work. So stretchy! So soft! So worth clearance at the Gap!

Often called the lower end of viability, 24 weeks is kind of a kick in the pants. Like, we're going to have a baby. A real freaking baby. We're going to be someone's moms!

Mar. 6th, 2007 09:23 amAfter trying on all of Nikki's maternity clothes, I have finally discovered the secret to "looking pregnant." Clearly the secret is wearing those big, poochy maternity pants with the full belly. (I have a couple of pairs of maternity pants, but because I am vain they are "no panel" or "small panel" or whatever.) I put all of those stretchy, poochy pants on and HOLY CRAP, I look like I have a gigantic belly. Add a shirt that widens after the boobs, and PRESTO!
So THAT'S how they do it!
I still don't feel like I'm big enough to warrant some of those clothes (and most of the shirts are short-sleeved which will come in handy later), but woah, for a moment there I considered walking around (freezing) in one of those outfits going, "HA HA HA."

Here is a little side-by-side comparison, last night and last week. It's amazing the difference a week can make, though I still just look like I have a big fat roll. :)

If I hadn't lost a ton of weight, I don't know if I'd even know I was knocked up by this point. But I'd gotten that bad boy pretty much flat by my birthday (aside from the inch I would pinch to do injections). Aah well, it's for a good cause.
Also notably sexy - the fact that I'm losing my waist and the pooch that's building above as things move northward. Good times, people.
I am brimming with TEH SEXXXXX0R.
